Brandy founded Adventure Nannies after 8 years of working as a travel nanny herself. As a nanny, she went cliff diving with kids in Italy, worked on a farm in Southern France, attended Burning Man, and learned survival skills in the Rocky Mountain wilderness. As the original Adventure Nanny, Brandy’s passion for active families and dynamic visionary leadership has propelled Adventure Nannies from its infancy into the high-touch worldwide boutique nanny agency it is today.
When Brandy isn’t at the office or at home with her three dogs, she’s out on the road with her husband’s band, The Lumineers.
Chief Operations Officer
Shenandoah joined Adventure Nannies in 2016 as Chief Operations Officer after serving us as a business consultant and sitting on our board for the past two years. As a former nanny and tutor as well as brand manager for a restaurant group in Seattle, we are pleased to welcome Shenandoah to the Adventure Nannies team.
Shenandoah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance and English and, as a touring musician, has performed all over the world. She still travels extensively, but her home base is currently in Seattle with her dogs.
Eriika joined Adventure Nannies as our East Coast Placement Counselor in 2015. She brings her impressive skills as a news producer and event planner to match families with their dream nanny.
Eriika was raised in a small Northern California town where she grew up riding horses, sailing and playing outside. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and has over 17 years of childcare experience. She’s been called the twin whisperer after spending years caring for two sets of twins. Additionally, Eriika is a certified yoga instructor, and loves pulling poses while traveling the world!
Lucky to call Washington, DC home, she takes advantage of the abundance museums and urban green space. She lives with her dog Bailey, and two cats Goose and Whiskey.

Emily Chisholm joined Adventure Nannies in 2016. As our Recruitment Coordinator, she is the main point of contact for nannies and conducts screening calls, assists them in completing their application, and ensures that every candidate is carefully vetted. She possesses a BFA in Theater, is certified in stage combat, and has spent time as both a Montessori Teacher Assistant and touring Teaching Artist. She lives in Seattle, is the Associate Artistic Director of New Century Theatre Company, and was recently the recipient of a highly-coveted Genius Award.

Danielle Sadler joined Adventure Nannies in 2016 as our Director of Communications. Prior to her role with us, she has worked with local businesses on developing their voices and social media presences, has been a classroom assistant, and has 15 years of childcare experience. She possesses an unlimited sense of optimism and the ability to find wi-fi in the most unlikely places. In her spare time, she volunteers at Jubilee Women’s Center, Youth Care and Hashtag Lunchbag. Ethel joined the Adventure Nannies team when she was 8 weeks old. Her specialties include taste-testing office supplies, customer relations management, and keeping office morale at an all-time high.
When not in the office, Ethel enjoys playing fetch, sleeping, playing fetch, eating, and playing fetch.
At 16 years old, our wise supervisor is nearing 88 in dog years. Pagoda joined our team out of concern for our founder, Brandy, and is constantly tailing her to make sure she stays on task. Pagoda ensures each member of the office staff takes their mandatory walks, and eats every few hours. We don’t know where we’d be without her.
When not at the office, Pagoda enjoys sleeping, eating, and laying on the couch.
