Mother’s Day Gifts For The DIY Nanny Kid

Every year around the end of April we all start thinking of ways to ‘wow’ all of the wonderful women in our life on the BIG day. Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 13th so whatever you do, don’t forget the date!

This year we wanted to share some of our favorite homemade gifts for Mom that your nanny kids can help create. While fresh flowers and breakfast in bed are tried-and-true ways to celebrate Mom, we think these gifts would be an amazing addition to the classics. 10/10 Moms agree that DIY or handmade items from their young kids are the most cherished and appreciated Mother’s Day gifts over time, so while your own Mom may not be super impressed with these particular DIY gifts this year, your Mom Boss with much younger children will most definitely love these!

The Top Five DIY Gifts For Mom

DIY Luggage Tags

If your Mom Boss is an extremely active businessperson who is always on the road, these DIY luggage tags are the perfect keepsake from her little ones. The kids can select an assortment of washi tape (and you can help them with a hole-puncher), to create these useful and heartwarming tokens of love.

Matchbook Bouquet

Mother’s Day doesn’t have to be an expensive endeavor, just as these adorable matchbooks illustrate. Have your nanny kids draw on some paper as opposed to using patterned paper, then help them assemble these cute mini-bouquets for Mom.

Marbled Clay Ring Dish

This beautiful creation is definitely for the older nanny kids with your direct supervision, but we think it’s too cool to miss. A little oven-bake clay, some gloss, and an oven and you’ve got all the tools to make Mom’s new favorite piece of art from her little ones!

Pop-up Card Keepsake

Mom would always prefer a handmade card to anything from Hallmark – with just scissors, paper, glue and creativity, your older nanny kids can make this beautiful pop-up flower card and completely make Moms day.
