A very busy and professional couple is looking for a dedicated and loving nanny to care for their newborn girl in Brooklyn. They are looking to find the person who will help them raise their daughter for years to come!
The ideal candidate will have experience working with families in long-term positions and a thorough understanding of the developmental milestones that occur in the infant, toddler and early childhood years. The family wants someone loving who can provide structure for their daughter, helping to create sleep, feeding and daily schedules. The nanny will join a fully staffed home, where the employees are valued and rewarded for their loyalty and dedication. A high level of professionalism and discretion is required.
The average schedule will be 50 hours a week, Monday – Friday from 8am-6pm, with some additional evening and weekend coverage requested as needed. The nanny will be compensated for these requests. The family will occasionally travel for both business and pleasure and will invite their nanny to join them. The compensation range is open for the perfectly qualified candidate.
Child care duties including but not limited to: feeding, bathing, dressing, napping, and morning and evening routines
Collaborate with Mom and Dad, night nurse, and household staff to check in on developmental milestones
Create a warm, loving and safe environment for the child to grow and thrive
Develop schedules and structure that ensure the child feels secure in their enviroment; family truly values routines and schedules
Provide enriching learning and developmental experiences and activities beyond basic care
Pitch in to the overall tidiness of the family environment and children’s areas
Cook and prepare basic meals
Run errands occasionally, as needed
At least 10 years professional infant care experience
Experience working in NYC as a nanny
Professional and polite demeanor
Discretion and respect of privacy / confidential information
Knowledge of each childhood development state and attuned to the child’s developmental needs
Experience creating structure, discipline and schedule in a warm and caring way
Possess experience exhibiting discretion and loyalty while working with executive families
A positive, can-do, team-player attitude
Exhibit good judgement and common sense, especially concerning child’s safety and health
Ability to commit long-term to a nanny position and truly become part of the family
