A nurturing, collaborative family based in Los Altos Hills, CA is seeking a team-oriented, enriching, and creative rotational nanny to join their household team!
This loving Silicon Valley family has four children, who are soon-to-be 6, 4, and 2 years old, as well as their baby who they welcomed to the world about a month ago! Their two older children absolutely love hands-on learning and play, and enjoy STEM-related activities, nature, and painting and art projects. Their 6-year-old is currently distance learning from home while their 4-year-old is attending in-person school for half days. Their 2-year-old is currently staying home and may be entering preschool in the new year. Both parents are at home often and have enjoyed working and learning alongside their nanny team and developing a nurturing environment in their home. They deeply value positive, conscious discipline and fostering their children’s interests.
This position is ideal for a candidate who is adaptable, loves to learn, and thrives in an environment where they can both be a guide and a learner alongside two loving parents and co-nannies. The heart of this role will consist of cultivating a warm and encouraging environment for the children, including planning enriching, fun activities that pique their interests and inspire a sense of inquiry. A team-oriented approach and an all-hands-on-deck spirit will go far in this “it takes a village” household! A background or knowledge in early childhood education/childhood development is highly preferred and a passion for it is essential! The family would love to work with a nanny who can take the lead on planning and engaging in fun-filled, enriching activities, and who is not afraid of getting a little messy or muddy from time to time. A pitch-in attitude will be appreciated when it comes to tidying up after the children (and encouraging the children to participate), light meal prep, and setting out food for their two sweet Labradoodles.
This is a rotational, live-out position of 40-50 hours/week consisting of 2 days on, 2 days off, then 5 days on, 5 days off. A sample schedule would be as follows: Monday-Tuesday on, Wednesday-Thursday off, then Friday-Tuesday on, and Wednesday through Sunday off (then repeat). Hours will generally fall from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm. The family is offering $35-$40/hour in addition to assistance with health and dental insurance, relocation assistance, and PTO. Driving is required for this role and a vehicle will be provided while on duty. The family is actively interviewing and the position will start as soon as they find the right fit!
