A busy and loving family who has recently relocated to Easton, MD to be closer to family is seeking a confident, engaged, and team-oriented nanny to care for their 16-month-old baby boy!
This family is friendly, hard-working, and lead busy lives when not in isolation due to the pandemic. Having spent four years in London building their business, this family greatly values professionalism, focus, and communication. The family loves to travel both internationally and domestically, sometimes for extended periods of time, and look forward to traveling again once it is safe to do so. They are passionate about building strong relationships and look forward to welcoming their nanny into their household with warmth. Their son is calm, sweet, and loves to eat, sing, and play! The family practices Montessori and RIE-inspired principles including baby-led weaning and are hopeful to work with a candidate with similar values. They are planning to expand their family shortly and a new baby could be on the horizon sooner than later!
The family practices baby-led weaning so a candidate with patience and creativity during mealtime as their son explores this stage of growth will be key. Until then, creating activities in the home and backyard to keep the toddler (and eventually a baby) engaged and learning and encouraging independent play will be key. As the family plans to grow their family, experience with both toddlers and newborns to support the children together and separately will be key; confidence surrounding sleep conditioning and establishing feeding routines will be a big plus. The mother plans to breastfeed again, so providing support and assisting with baby-led weaning for when the time comes to introduce solids again will be important. There will likely be family and friends around with a new baby so the nanny must have good intuition as to being helpful but also giving the family space and privacy and maintaining discretion and professionalism at all times. A nanny with a pitch-in attitude regarding family assisting duties is important. During naptimes or when the mother is spending time with her son, pitching in to the overall cleanliness of the house and assisting with laundry and other errands will be expected and appreciated. Providing support and being an asset to the family when hosting friends and family will be valued as well. The mother plans to work from home so a step-in and step-out intuition as well as a team spirit throughout the day is crucial. The family is looking forward to working with a flexible, travel-ready candidate who has flexibility to travel for extended periods of time. They have two beloved cats and are looking for a candidate who will be comfortable in their home and around their pets!
