A few lucky nannies will be joining a family that spends their time in New Jersey and The Hamptons. The high-profile family is looking to build a caring team of nannies to care for two adorable infants. The children are cousins and the nannies will share their time with the families caring for a 16-month-old girl and a 8-month-old boy.
The position in live-in five days a week at the families’ homes in Alpine, NJ, Watermill, NY, and Manhattan. Comfortable private accommodations will be provided. The families prefer the candidates live-out on their days off. The schedule will consist of 12-hour days and may be spent with one or both of the children. The nannies will alternate covering weekends, and be expected to cover at least 2-3 weekends a month. Travel will expand as the children grow and will include trips to exotic beaches and tours through Europe.
The ideal candidates will be pro-active, hardworking, trustworthy and pleasant to be around and work with. It is an informal household and the family has a great sense of humor and fun loving spirit, but it is a fast-paced environment and so the candidates must be quick thinking and flexible. You may spend a few nights in Watermill and then head back into the city during the same 5-day stretch!
The nannies will be required to have driver’s licenses. A nanny vehicle will be provided. Experience working in a fully staffed home is a bonus. A team-player attitude is required!
This opportunity is open to relocation candidates. The family is looking to find the right people as soon as possible. Compensation will be highly competitive and benefits are being offered.
Child-care duties including but not limited to: feeding, bathing, dressing, napping and morning and evening routines
Collaborate with parents and co-nannies, checking in on developmental milestones
Assist with child related housekeeping duties and pitch in to the overall tidiness of the family environment
Sterilize bottles, clean toys and organize laundry
Cook and prepare basic meals with organic fruits, veggies and new foods as they are introduced
Run errands occasionally, as needed
Provide enriching experiences and activities beyond basic care
Create a warm and safe environment for the child to grow and thrive
At least 2 years professional infant and childcare experience
Knowledgeable about each childhood development state and attuned to the child’s developmental needs
Possess experience exhibiting discretion and loyalty while working with high profile families
A positive, team-player attitude
Exhibits good judgement and common sense
Ability to commit long-term to a nanny position and truly become part of the family
