Broadway Shows for Kids!

We snagged Broadway agent, Kyle Bosley, of Talent Works NY, to chat with us about his top 5 shows for kids currently running in New York City.  Our delightful conversation made us want to hop out of the office and venture out to see these shows for ourselves!!  Here’s a little list of shows that your children and you love this Fall.

Show- Matilda

Theater- Shubert Theatre

“This clever show is packed with magic and spark!” insists Kyle.  Be careful if you’re still getting acquainted with accents.  Matilda consists of some British dialects that certainly make the characters, but might be hard to understand.  We suggest taking the risk and seeing this cute musical.  Our talent agent claimed he was thoroughly entertained!

Theater- Broadway Theatre

Have a classic in mind?  Cinderella is the ticket!  With a Rogers & Hammerstein’s show, you’ll get the classic musical you’ve been craving for!  And who doesn’t love a classic fairy tale?  This is a very solid production with an excellent cast.  You’re child will be dreaming of princes and princesses.

Show- Wicked

Theater- Gerschwin Theatre

There’s a reason this production is celebrating 10 years!  Kyle claims this is one of the best musicals to see.  Part of the reason; watching the children’s reactions is half the entertainment!  Although boys love it, Kyle says little girls light up watching the spectacles of witches on stage!

Show- The Lion King

Theater- Minskoff Theatre

Although, you may have witnessed this incredible visual stunner, Kyle suggests you go again with your child.  It’s a feast for your eyes and imagination.  Not only is it packed with amazing music, but the lessons about family and love are truly inspiring.

Show- Aladdin

Theater- New Amsterdam Theatre

Hop on this magic carpet ride and be amazed.  Our talent agent suggests any young boy or girl will be drawn to the adventures and spectacle in this show!  And who doesn’t love the idea of a genie with three wishes to grant?!

When visiting NY, take a moment to experience a live production.  It will be one of your child’s fondest memories.  There’s nothing like live theater in all of it’s glory.
