Newborn Care Specialist

To be considered for a newborn care specialist position through Adventure Nannies, all candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Ability to work legally within the United States

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • 3 years of relevant professional experience (as a newborn care specialist, night nanny, doula, or nanny)

  • Experience working as a newborn care specialist with at least 5 families

  • Knowledge of every aspect of newborn care, including professional and working knowledge of feeding, bathing, and dressing infants, and preparing, cleaning and sanitizing bottles

  • Experience and knowledge surrounding sleep conditioning, establishing routines, feeding routines, and developmental milestones

  • Newborn care specialist training, preferably through Newborn Care Solutions or another CACHE-accredited program

  • Demonstration of personal commitment to continued professional development and education

  • Familiarity with American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) guidelines and best practices for newborn care

  • Professional and positive communication in all agency interactions

  • Willingness and commitment to be paid legally, or ‘on the books’, either as a W-2 employee or as an independent contractor through their LLC

  • Ability to pass a background check once an offer of employment has been made

  • CACHE accreditation or other third-party accreditation strongly preferred
