This energetic Granada Hills family is seeking an organized nanny/family assistant to support their three children with academics, routines, and after-school logistics.
- Location: Granada Hills, CA
- Ages of children: 16, 14, and 11 years old
- Start date: As soon as they find the right fit
- Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week, with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 2:00pm to 10:00pm.
- Compensation: The family is offering $40-45/hour based on the 40-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation in the $83,200-93,600/year range.

Household dynamic:
- This loving, fun, energetic family in Granada Hills is seeking an education-focused nanny/family assistant who can support their three school-aged children’s homework and after-school activities. Their older children, at 16 and 14, are in high school, while their 11-year-old daughter is in elementary. All three children attend the same school. The nanny/family assistant will actively assist the children’s school pick-ups, safely driving them to activities, and provide consistent homework support to keep them on track with their tasks. The home also includes three dogs, and the candidate should be comfortable around them.
- This is a high-energy, spontaneous household rooted in Christian faith and a blend of East Asian and European cultures. Both parents are regularly in and out of the home, and there may be occasions that require overnight coverage. The family employs a housekeeper and a dog walker and hopes to work with a candidate who can work collaboratively alongside other staff to keep the afternoons and evenings at home well-organized.

- This position is ideal for a smart, extroverted, capable, and educationally-minded nanny/family assistant who brings a calm, easy-going presence while also being bubbly and engaging when connecting with children. The ideal candidate is adaptable and resourceful, who can confidently support the middle and high school students’ academics. This includes helping them to stay on track, breaking down assignments, and offering guidance. A nanny/family assistant who has the capability, confidence, and willingness to look into 10th-grade-level homework, take the time to understand the material, and find ways to help the children succeed will be an excellent fit. The family places a strong emphasis on personality fit and is looking for someone joyful and easygoing, with a positive, can-do attitude. Someone who can go with the flow, doesn’t take things personally, and can remain steady and supportive even if a child is having an off day will fit in. They are looking for someone who is proactive, thoughtful, and truly invested in being a supportive and encouraging presence in the children’s academic and daily lives. The family will also value someone who can support family-assisting tasks whenever needed to keep the home running smoothly.
- Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, occasional errands, providing consistent homework and academic support, managing after-school routines, safely transporting children to and from activities, assisting with errands, and coordinating activities. Family assisting duties are running errands, light meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, coordinating vendors, and managing the family calendar.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Bachelor's degree in any subject, or proficiency in assisting with middle-school and high-school homework
- Family assisting experience
- Valid driver's license
- Pet friendly!
- Partners, family members, and/or pets cannot be housed in any temporary or long-term accommodations provided by the family
