This vibrant, playful family of five in Montara, California is seeking a warm, confident nanny/family assistant to provide consistent, child-centered care for their bright 6-year-old and 4-year-old twins.
- Location: Montara, CA
- Ages of children: 6 and 4-year-old twins
- Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
- Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week with the general schedule being flexible around candidates’ preferences. An example schedule would be Monday through Thursday from 7am to 10am and 2pm to 6pm and Friday from 7am to 10am and one 3-4 hour evening or weekend each week decided on in advance.
- Compensation: The family is offering $45-$50 /hour based on the 40-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $94-104k/year dependent on experience and the agreed-upon schedule. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
- Benefits: The family is open to providing paid time off, paid holidays, end-of-year bonus, and a health insurance stipend for the right candidate.

- This vibrant and playful family of five in Montara is seeking a nanny/family assistant to provide consistent care to their three energetic children and support their dynamic home. Their children, a 6-year-old and 4-year-old twins, are smart, spirited, and deeply perceptive, with their mornings often spent in special time with Mom and Dad. Two of the three children are strong-willed and respond best with someone who brings warmth, humor, and a playful approach to their day-to-day. All children attend school full-time, and the nanny/family assistant will shift focus during school hours to supporting household and family assistant responsibilities. The family also has an adorable dog, so comfort around pets is important.
- This is a dual-career household with both parents in hybrid roles, sometimes working from home and sometimes working off-site. They travel often, and they are seeking someone who can be a reliable support at home when they are traveling. The family is currently supported by a beloved nanny who is transitioning out of the role to welcome her first child! This bustling, dedicated home is eager to welcome someone who can become an integral part of their household.

Someone patient, intuitive, and who can naturally build trust and connection with children will be a perfect fit.
- The family is looking for a true team player who can collaborate effectively and provide support in their home. Willingness to support family-assisting tasks is essential in this role. The family will highly appreciate a proactive nanny/family assistant with a see-a-need, fill-the-need approach and comfortable managing a dynamic household. They are open to working around the candidate’s strengths and interests, whether that is cooking or organizing. The ideal candidate is someone adaptable, supportive, and excited to be part of a collaborative, loving home.
- Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. Family assisting duties are running errands, meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, coordinating vendors, and managing the family calendar.
- While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who lives nearby or in the community near them
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Personal vehicle for transporting kids
- Willingness to pitch in with family-assisting tasks
- Valid driver’s license
- Dog-friendly
- Partners, family members, and/or pets cannot be housed in any temporary or long-term accommodations provided by the family
