Household dynamic:
- This young, warm, and travel-loving British and South African family, primarily based in the UK, is seeking a nanny to support them as they spend the next four months in the United States, with subsequent international travel in between. The family has two young children, ages 3 and 1, who are supported by their long-standing, senior nanny in the UK. Working alongside their full-time nanny, the candidate will assist with the children’s daily routines, activities, and overall care. The role will include both shared care and occasional sole charge, particularly during the family’s time in the US, to ensure consistency and continuity of care across locations.
- The family leads a dynamic, international lifestyle, dividing their time between multiple residences. This year will primarily be US-based, with travel to the UK and mainland Europe, followed by a trip to South Africa starting in October. Both parents are highly engaged and foster a collaborative environment at home, having worked closely with their experienced British nanny for several years. The nanny is expected to travel regularly, adapt seamlessly to changing environments, and integrate confidently into the established household structure and dynamics.
Ideal candidate:
- This position is ideal for a warm, emotionally intelligent, and attentive nanny who brings a naturally caring and proactive approach. The ideal candidate is excited to support a dynamic, travel-filled lifestyle and thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Comfort and flexibility in working with an established household dynamic are essential, while having a positive and adaptable personality when supporting the family. The family would especially value someone who is travel-ready, highly organized, and able to anticipate the needs of both the children and the household.
- Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year.
- While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate with a strong educational background and childcare qualifications.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Confident swimmer and able to swim and care for children in water
- Valid passport
- Valid driver's license
- Partners, family members, and/or pets cannot be housed in any temporary or long-term accommodations provided by the family
