Household dynamic:

  • This NYC family is excited to add a caring nanny/family assistant to their team who can help contribute to creating a positive and loving environment for their children. At 7 years old, their son loves math, reading, drawing, early coding, and leading imaginative playtime with his little sisters. He’s curious about the world and an avid learner; he will love a nanny who can foster a playful, discovery-driven environment in which he can grow. Their 5-year-old is mature, polite, confident, and charming, with a sly twinkle in her eye. She has a great sense of humor and loves to dress up, dance, act, and learn! Their 4-year-old daughter is self-sufficient, talkative, curious like her big brother, and charming like her big sister. She loves to work with her hands, including building with Magna-Tiles and Legos. All three older children attend school full-time during the week. The family maintains a zero-screen-time home. The family’s youngest child is described by her parents as being a very easy fourth baby! She is healthy and happy and a total joy for those around her. She eats and sleeps very well, cries only when she’s hungry and takes a bottle the first time every time. Her siblings adore her.
  • Both parents work full-time, often from home, and they bring genuine respect for their nanny’s expertise—offering space and trust to lead the day. The family also employs a Montessori-trained educator/nanny who works full days four days a week. In the afternoons, the two caregivers coordinate to accompany the children to their activities, then come together for shared dinner and evening routines. Friday afternoons are intentionally low-key, centering on relaxed, at-home activities and play before the weekend.

Ideal candidate:

  • This family is seeking a candidate who brings a loving, dedicated, proactive, organized, and can-do attitude to their loving, bustling home!
  • Responsibilities include maintaining children’s spaces and belongings with care: handles wash-and-fold kid laundry, keeps wardrobes organized, and ensures play and learning areas are tidy and well-supplied. Healthy, colorful meals are prepped without added sugar, and online shopping (Amazon, FreshDirect) keeps groceries and household staples stocked. Coordinates busy after-school hours with the co-nanny, based on a schedule developed by the parents — chaperoning activities, playdates, and homework.
  • Candidates choosing a 46-hour week can add light household upkeep (simple organizing or tidying shared spaces) to round out the schedule. No travel required; familiarity with a kosher kitchen is a plus, but easily taught.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of professional childcare experience
  • Willingness to support child-related family assisting responsibilities
  • Standard vaccinations (MMR, Tdap, etc.)
