Household dynamic:

  • This warm, easy-going family is seeking an attentive and collaborative nanny/newborn care specialist to support them as their family grows! Their 4-year-old son loves his taggies, is fascinated by pinwheels, and loves all sorts of music from Mozart and Beethoven to Queen. He attends preschool nearby. The family recently welcomed their little addition last month and is eager to find someone who can help nurture both of their children through this exciting chapter, alongside another Adventure Nanny who has been with their family since their son was born in 2021! The family looks forward to building a relationship based on mutual trust and collaboration and is excited to meet someone who can create a nurturing environment filled with fun, positive interactions to foster their children’s growth and development.
  • This is a dual-career home where both parents have dynamic schedules and are passionate about their careers. The family travels annually to Europe (usually Italy and/or Greece) and takes shorter trips to LA and sometimes other cities throughout the year.

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for a warm and dependable nanny/NCS who genuinely enjoys engaging with children and infants and creating a positive environment for their growing toddler! Someone who enjoys being silly and playful while actively engaging with children through interactive and enriching activities will thrive in this role. They hope to work with a candidate who has hands-on experience caring for infants and confidently supports their newborn’s early development alongside their bright toddler. A candidate who is adaptable and well-versed in providing focused care to children while traveling will be a great fit! They will appreciate a candidate who is comfortable supporting general household tasks and providing care for their toddler in addition to newborn care is a key component of this role. The family greatly values a collaborative nanny who takes a see-a-need, fill-a-need approach to supporting the family and the household, while fostering a strong foundation of mutual trust and adaptability.
  • Responsibilities include both childcare and NCS tasks. Childcare responsibilities include creating an environment for both kids to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. Newborn care duties include establishing healthy foundations for sleep and feeding routines, prepping and sanitizing bottles, baby’s laundry, tidying the nursery, traveling with the family on occasion, introducing solids, and generally bringing a supportive, team-minded, all-hands-on-deck attitude. A candidate with a willingness to jump in on family assisting responsibilities when time allows will be greatly appreciated.
  • As their newborn grows older (1+ years from now), the family is open to transitioning to a more traditional full-time, long-term schedule with a higher hourly rate if desired by the candidate.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Newborn care specialist training and experience
  • Experience traveling with families and children
