Household dynamic:

  • This warm, active family is looking for an exceptional nanny/family assistant to care for their children and become a trusted and valued part of their household. Their home is energetic, loving, organized, and child-centered, with lots of outdoor play, creativity, sports, school activities, and family adventures woven into everyday life. The family has four children ages 9, 7, 5, and 2, who are all bright, social, curious, and active. Their three older children attend a nearby elementary school during the day, while the youngest will begin a morning 2s preschool program in the fall. The nanny/family assistant will primarily support the children’s routines and activities, and create a positive, nurturing environment.
  • The family describes their home dynamic as joyful, well-rounded, and nature-oriented. Both parents are busy executives, one of whom sometimes works from a home office. Embracing an intentional lifestyle, they maintain a deliberately low-tech, highly family-oriented Christian household that prioritizes connection, presence, outdoor time, and meaningful engagement over screens. They value intentional parenting and are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being engaged with children and contributing to a warm, grounded home environment. The family travels 2 to 4 weeks throughout the year, including regular trips to their family home in Montana, as well as a spring break trip to Kauai. Once their youngest gets older, they will likely be more adventurous! They would love to work with someone excited to join for some of these travels. Currently, they are supported by a trusted, full-time nanny who is transitioning out, a part-time afternoon nanny who tag-teams with their nanny when needed, and a weekly housekeeper. The family is hoping to work with a candidate who can comfortably step in and help keep the household running smoothly, collaboratively supporting family-assisting tasks, particularly when the children are at school.

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for a calm, capable, proactive, confident nanny/family assistant who genuinely enjoys supporting growing children and helping a large family run smoothly. The ideal candidate is nurturing and engaging with children of different ages and personalities, while also confidently managing the logistics that come with a full household. The family highly values kindness, reliability, good judgment, strong communication, and a positive attitude. They would love to work with someone who delights in spending time with children -  whether that’s reading stories, helping with homework, organizing crafts, getting outside, driving to activities, or simply creating a warm and steady environment where the kids feel supported and cared for. Someone who thrives in creating enriching, creative, and engaging experiences for children will be an excellent fit for this role.
  • The family hopes to find someone who is highly organized, safety-conscious, adaptable, and comfortable jumping into the rhythm of a busy family life. The right candidate has a ‘see-a-need, fill-a-need’ mentality and takes pride in maintaining an orderly, well-functioning home. The family is excited to foster a respectful, appreciative work environment and hopes to build a long-term relationship with the right person.
  • Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. Family assisting duties include running errands, laundry, light meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, unpacking and organizing, coordinating vendors, and managing the family calendar.
  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate with family-assisting and travel experience, and higher education.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Experience caring for multiple children (3 or more) at a time
  • Able to swim and care for children in water
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid passport
  • College degree or some college preferred
  • Partners, family members, and/or pets cannot be housed in any temporary or long-term accommodations provided by the family
