Household dynamic:

  • This loving, return Adventure Nannies family is seeking a full-time nanny to care for their growing toddler. Their son is active, curious, and eager to explore the world around him. The family values a comfortable, calm, and grounded home environment and is excited to partner with a nanny who can thoughtfully nurture his development as he grows. The family follows a flexible but consistent routine during the week, with daily outdoor time and opportunities for age-appropriate exploration. As their son gets older, they are eager to slowly introduce enriching experiences and activities—such as music, art, movement, and community-based classes—without overscheduling.
  • Dad travels for work approximately one week per month, and the family anticipates some domestic and occasional international travel together throughout the year. While frequent international travel is not expected, they would love to work with someone who is open to traveling if support is needed from time to time. Extended family visits periodically, bringing a lively and loving energy to the home.

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for a highly responsible, professional nanny who is seeking a long-term partnership with a family they can grow alongside. The family values clear and effective communication, mutual respect, and someone who approaches nannying as a thoughtful, intentional career.
  • The right candidate has strong toddler experience and brings a calm, nurturing, and extremely safety-conscious approach to care. Excellent situational awareness, sound judgment, and the ability to independently assess and manage risk are essential. Hygiene and cleanliness are a priority, and the ideal nanny takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment. This family would love to work with someone who shows initiative and curiosity—particularly when it comes to researching and introducing age-appropriate activities, classes, or community opportunities as their child grows.
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that supports the child’s development, planning and facilitating age-appropriate, enriching activities and outings, researching and coordinating classes, activities, or community opportunities as appropriate, child-related household tasks, including meal prep, tidying, and organizing children’s areas, occasional errands and traveling with the family as needed.
  • While not required, the family would love to work with a candidate who has an interest in or background in early childhood education, Montessori, music, or related fields, enthusiasm for ongoing education or certifications (e.g., car seat safety, child development courses), or is conversational Mandarin or Spanish

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Extensive experience caring for toddlers
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Valid passport
  • Ability to swim and care for children around water
  • Ability to keep up with a very active 2-year-old toddler and teach him about sports
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene for the home and child
  • Remain up-to-date on all standard vaccinations (flu, tdap, covid, etc.)
  • College education is preferred but not required
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Ability to thrive in dark, rainy PNW weather
  • Partners, family members, and/or pets cannot be housed in any temporary or long-term accommodations provided by the family
