• Schedule: Full-time rotational schedule of 6 days on / 8 days off with 24/7 care while on duty, running Sunday 4:00 PM through Friday 4:00 PM.
• Compensation: The family is offering an hourly and overtime rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of $120k-$130k dependent on candidate experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing an $800/month health insurance stipend and a public transportation pass.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-in while on rotation, live-out while off rotation.

• This warm, joyful single Mom in Bronxville, NY is seeking a rotational nanny/family assistant to support her two daughters! Their 9-year-old and 7-year-old daughters are bright, well-behaved girls who thrive with a caregiver they respect and trust. Both girls are in school. Their younger daughter has type 1 diabetes. While prior experience is not required, comfort with learning her care is important. The family is happy to train the right candidate and is excited to welcome someone attentive, capable, and comfortable learning her care. The household also includes an adorable dog and they would love someone who is pet-friendly and willing to support light pet care.
• This is a fully staffed, dynamic household where kindness, fun, and a team mentality are central values. Mom maintains a busy professional schedule and travels frequently—some weeks she is home often, while others she is away for longer stretches. The home operates collaboratively, with a housekeeper, a driver, a general helper several days a week, and babysitters who will work alongside the candidate. While the girls are in school, the nanny/family assistant will support family assisting tasks, with some downtime throughout the day. Summers are much more hands-on, as the girls typically do not attend camp. The candidate will also travel with the family approximately 3–4 weeks per year, primarily domestically, including time on Long Island during the summer, with occasional international trips.

• This position is ideal for a seasoned, highly confident rotational nanny/family assistant who brings a calm, grounded, and loving presence while being firm and consistent with boundaries. The children respond best to someone who can maintain clear expectations and routines while building a warm, trusting relationship with them. Mom is looking for someone she can fully trust to take the lead—someone confident in their abilities, with excellent judgment, who anticipates needs, takes initiative, and plans engaging activities without constant direction. Supporting the younger daughter’s type 1 diabetes care will also be an important part of the role. The right candidate will be attentive, responsible, and eager to learn her established care routines, including glucose monitoring, insulin administration, and overnight monitoring as needed. They’ll be comfortable taking an active, consistent role in her care and approaching this responsibility with confidence and thoughtfulness.
• The role is ideal for a rotational nanny/family assistant who is adaptable and team-oriented, while also being able to work independently and as part of a collaborative household team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable balancing hands-on childcare with family-assistant responsibilities and enjoy traveling with the family, bringing reliability, initiative, and consistency to the role whether at home or away. • Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing children's areas, occasional errands, before and afterschool routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. This role also includes managing type 1 diabetes care for the younger daughter, including glucose monitoring, insulin administration, and overnight monitoring. Family assisting duties are running errands, meal planning and preparation, pet care, grocery shopping, and tidying.
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has family assisting or household management experience, Prior type 1 diabetes care experience, and ROTA experience. Extensive professional nanny experience—ideally 5+ years—is strongly preferred.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Knowledge and experience with pre-school, early elementary, or elementary-aged children
• Valid driver's license and passport
• Willingness to perform family assistant tasks
• Ability to travel with the family throughout the year
• Able to swim and care for children in water
• Experience working in a team or a fully-staffed home
• Dog-friendly and willing to support light pet care
• Comfortability preparing meals for the entire family
• Ability to live-in while on duty and live-out while off duty
• Willingness to learn and manage type 1 diabetes care, including glucose monitoring, insulin administration, and overnight monitoring
• High level of discretion; comfortable signing an NDA
• Local or living within a commutable distance (up to approximately three hours by car or train) of Bronxville, NY
