Confident And Travel-Ready Nanny Needed For Active Multi-Residence Family

This organized, multi-residence family currently based in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a dynamic live-in nanny to support their three young children at home and while traveling for both work and leisure.

  • Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota. The family also travels frequently to their home in Dallas.
  • Ages of children: 3 years old, 8 years old, and 1 month old.
  • Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
  • Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 50 hours per week, with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 5:00pm or similar. Schedules may differ during the family's busy season, and they look forward to working with a nanny who can support them for evenings, weekends, and travel. The family appreciates flexibility and is happy to offer it in return!
  • Compensation: The family is offering $35-45/hour based on the 50-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $93k-119k/year range.
  • Benefits: The family is open to providing paid time off, sick leave, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance for the right candidate.
  • Live-in/Live-out: Live-in. A private bedroom and bathroom within the family's home will be provided. The candidate will be required to share a room with the older two children when traveling and staying at hotels during the family's busy season.

Household dynamic:

  • This on-the-go, organized family is seeking an experienced, educationally-minded, and travel-ready nanny to join them in caring for their two sons and infant daughter and supporting their dynamic lifestyle! Their two active boys are into all things sports, games, building forts, and all things active and outdoors. At 8 years old, their oldest is social and outgoing, while their 3-year-old is more reserved and takes time to warm up, but once he does, he’s eager to join in on the fun. Both boys are currently homeschooled and will transition back to traditional school in August. The youngest member of the family is their sweet newborn sister, who is currently cared for by a newborn care specialist during the day. The family looks forward to working with a candidate who can create an engaging, nurturing, and fun environment for the children while fostering their development.
  • The family leads a travel-filled and vibrant lifestyle. They travel frequently for work and split their time between their homes in Minneapolis and Dallas, along with sunny destinations abroad, including the Caribbean in the summer. Someone who is travel-ready and excited to join the family adventures and be a supportive presence while traveling and transitioning locations will be essential! The family will deeply appreciate a candidate who can work collaboratively alongside family and other household staff, including a chef, and is ready to jump in to support a clean and organized, well-run home.

  • This position is ideal for a seasoned, travel-ready, and confident nanny who is passionate about supporting the early development and well-being of three growing children! The ideal candidate will bring a mix of warmth, high energy, grounded confidence, professionalism, and team spirit to the role. An educational focus and tidiness will go a long way for this family! Someone who can create a fun, learning environment for the children and create enriching experiences while sparking their interest, whether it’s through sports or outdoor adventures, will be a wonderful fit. They would love to work with a career nanny who has a pitch-in mentality, is self-directed, and confident in anticipating the needs of the family. An experienced nanny who is adept at supporting infant through elementary school-age children in a role will be highly valued!
  • Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year.
  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has an early childhood education (ECE) background, experience working in a team or fully-staffed environment, and/or experience with toilet training for children.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Knowledge and experience with infants through elementary school-age children
  • Experience working with multiple children in a role
  • Travel experience
  • Travel-ready! Ability to travel frequently and for extended periods of time
  • Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid passport
