Household dynamic:

  • This loving, close-knit family is seeking a nanny/family assistant to join their team and care for their two creative children and support their Coral Gables home. Their 3.5-year-old loves arts and crafts and thrives with a nanny who comes prepared with projects and ideas. She attends preschool during the week. Their 1.5-year-old is in full discovery mode, enjoying color sorting, shapes, and hands-on play. Both children are energetic and want to play, and the family would love a candidate who can create an enriching and engaging environment for their children. The home also includes two dogs. They have a trusted nanny who cares for both kids on weekdays and a housekeeper on most days.
  • Mom currently stays at home and will be available during work hours. The family places a high importance on continuous learning and emphasizes hands-on, engaged care for their children. Travel is part of the role, and they would love for the candidate to join them on trips. This household values collaboration and teamwork. The nanny/family assistant will provide thoughtful support to the family on weekends and evenings, pitching in with light family assisting tasks, ensuring smooth transitions, and daily routines.

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for an engaged, upbeat, self-motivated nanny/family assistant who finds joy in supporting two spirited toddlers and maintaining an organized home. The family is seeking a responsible, safety-oriented candidate who can thoughtfully engage and create a nurturing environment where children’s interests are fostered. The ideal candidate is intuitive, high-energy, and resourceful, arrives prepared with ideas, and thrives in creative play, educational engagement, and child-led exploration. A love of learning is essential for the family. They value people who are curious, responsible, and self-directed, who are passionate about self-education - eager to learn something new, and excited to share those experiences with the children. A proactive candidate who can smoothly step back to allow family time and is willing to support family-assisting tasks when needed will be highly appreciated. Mom is at home, so someone team-oriented who is comfortable with this dynamic will fit right in. Since the family travels throughout the year and their weekday nanny is sometimes unable to join them on trips, they would love a travel-ready nanny who can provide steady support on the road. The family hopes to work with a candidate who genuinely enjoys caring for children and is excited to support their collaborative home.
  • Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. Family assisting duties include running errands, light meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, coordinating vendors, and managing the family calendar.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of professional experience
  • Knowledge and experience with the toddler age range
  • Willing to step in and assist with family assisting tasks
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Valid passport
  • Ability to swim and care for children around water
  • Comfortable working alongside a stay-at-home parent
  • Partners, family members, and/or pets cannot be housed in any temporary or long-term accommodations provided by the family
