This Connecticut-based family is seeking an experienced career nanny to support the care and development of their 2.5-year-old and 7-month-old children.

  • Location: Greenwich, CT
  • Ages of children: 7 months old and 2.5 years old
  • Start date: as soon as they find the right fit
  • Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 44 hours per week, with the general schedule falling on Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm.
  • Compensation: The family is offering $50-55/hour based on a 44-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $119,600-$131,560. The family may be open to a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.

  • Live-in/Live-out: Live out. The family can provide a private bedroom and bathroom for the candidate to use during the work week if they prefer. The candidate would return home on their off days.

Household dynamic:

  • This is an active, family-oriented household with two young children: an energetic 2.5-year-old toddler and a 7-month-old baby. The family values structure, emotional intelligence, and thoughtful caregiving. They are looking for a long-term professional who takes pride in their work and enjoys playing an active, engaged role in a child’s early years. Their toddler attends a Twos program twice a week and enjoys trucks, airplanes, trains, outdoor play, and time at the park. The family has two cats at home.
  • Dad works outside the home; Mom stays at home. The family is well supported by a house cleaner, a newborn care specialist (for the next eight months), and a weekend nanny. Extended family lives nearby and is actively involved. Travel is a regular part of the family’s rhythm, including time in Colorado, Florida, and the Hamptons.

Ideal Candidate:

  • This position is ideal for a professional, emotionally intelligent career nanny who brings structure, foresight, and warmth to their work.
  • The ideal candidate is organized and proactive, comfortable managing the day-to-day flow of two young children, and confident working alongside parents in a collaborative environment. They are attentive to developmental milestones, responsive to children’s emotional cues, and able to maintain calm, loving boundaries that support good manners, self-confidence, and respect.

Role Expectations:

  • Engage in age-appropriate activities with both children as they grow and develop.
  • Proactively anticipate children’s needs, including managing schedules, arranging activities, and handling transportation.
  • Drive children to activities, appointments, and school.
  • Organize and tidy children’s spaces.
  • Plan, prepare, and serve healthy meals and snacks.
  • Assist with before- and after-school routines and coordinate activities.
  • Run occasional child-related errands.
  • Maintain a largely screen-free environment; remain fully present and attentive while on duty, with minimal personal phone use during work hours.
  • Travel is a regular part of the family’s routine, so flexibility and comfort with travel are important.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Career nanny with experience caring for babies and toddlers simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant training in early childhood, education, or a related field (a plus, not required).

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of professional childcare experience
  • Support and maintain ‌a largely screen-free environment with minimal phone use during work hours
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Able to swim.
  • Vaccines up to date (willing to get yearly flu shot)
  • Domestic travel-ready
  • Partners, family members, and/or pets cannot be housed in any temporary or long-term accommodations provided by the family
