Household dynamic:
- These warm, organized, and outdoor-loving first-time parents recently welcomed their daughter and are overjoyed to be stepping into this long-awaited parenthood journey. Their daughter is calm, already showing early signs of mobility - making movements, crawling, and beginning to scoot at 9 weeks! The nanny will take on all aspects of infant care, including supporting a combo-feeding routine, guiding developmental activities, and providing expert, meaningful guidance for fostering the baby’s early milestones. The family also has a 7-year-old dog who loves people and other dogs.
- Both parents work from home in a dedicated office space and truly value a collaborative, team-minded relationship with their nanny. As first-time parents still settling into new routines, they deeply appreciate guidance, open communication, and shared knowledge - especially from someone experienced in infant development and best practices. They love their neighborhood and want their nanny to take full advantage of it, such as taking daily outings to the park, library story time, music classes, and local community activities. Travel is minimal, and the family anticipates traveling for around 2 weeks for family visits. The family places a strong emphasis on building consistency, connection, and a long-term relationship with their future nanny and would love to meet someone who will support their daughter for many years to come.
Ideal candidate:
- This position is ideal for a calm, grounded, and knowledgeable nanny who brings both expertise and a genuine love for caring for young children and supporting first-time parents. The ideal candidate is perceptive, well-versed in early childhood development and milestones, and confident in guiding parents with thoughtful insights into parenting philosophies while maintaining a collaborative, respectful relationship. The family is seeking someone organized, adaptable, and resourceful in their daily caregiving approach. A true team player, the right candidate is comfortable working with both parents present, embraces open communication, and naturally integrates into the family as a steady, supportive presence. Community connection is important to the family and would appreciate a candidate who can get out and about - keep their daughter well-socialized, facilitating playdates, attending local activities, and fostering enriching, developmentally appropriate experiences. The family maintains a low- to no-screen-time household and values a candidate who is aligned with this approach. They also place a high priority on privacy and discretion when working and caring for their child. The role is ideal for someone seeking a long-term position, eager to grow with the family, and who finds joy in being part of such a meaningful chapter.
- Responsibilities include creating an environment for the child to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing children’s areas, occasional errands, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year.
- While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who speaks a second language and has experience with family assistant duties.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for infants and toddlers
- Higher education in the form of a Bachelor's degree or an Associate's degree with ECE units
- Comfortable working in a limited or screen-free home environment
- Dog friendly
- Valid driver's license
- Up-to-date on vaccinations under the Flu, TDAP, and MMR vaccination policies
- Partners, family members, and/or pets cannot be housed in any temporary or long-term accommodations provided by the family
