- Location: Rincon, Puerto Rico, with potential for domestic and international travel with the founding family
- Ages of children: Kindergarten and 1st grade for approximately 6 kids

The family is happy to assist with the logistics of finding housing in Rincon. During travel, a separate bedroom and bathroom will be provided.
Household dynamic:
- This returning Adventure Nannies family is building an intimate, bilingual learning environment in Rincon designed to be a place where students are excited to show up, solve real-world problems, get their hands dirty, and develop the habits and skills that will serve them for a lifetime. Envisioned as a launchpad for resilient, resourceful, and community-minded kids, this program will begin with a small pilot group of approximately 6 Kindergarten and 1st-grade students in Fall 2026, with plans to thoughtfully expand into a larger established program. The Founding Lead Educator will play a central role in architecting the culture, curriculum, and daily experience of the program, guiding its initial launch and helping shape its long-term growth and evolution.
- Situated in Rincon, Puerto Rico, a safe, vibrant surf town with a strong sense of community, the educator will have the unique opportunity to build something meaningful from the ground up while collaborating closely with an engaged, values-driven family. This role is ideal for an educator who thrives in a dynamic, start-up-like environment, embraces adaptability and cultural immersion, and sees the world as the classroom. The program will prioritize immersive real-world projects and life skills — like public speaking, entrepreneurship, theater, gardening, financial literacy, and civics. With a strong emphasis on resilience, collaboration, and problem-solving, students will be encouraged to take ownership of their learning, work through challenges, and develop true grit in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Ideal candidate:
- The ideal candidate is a developmentally minded, bilingual educator who is passionate about teaching young children and excited to shape a learning community from the ground up. They bring a strong foundation in elementary education and an interest in non-traditional models such as Montessori, Acton Academy, or Alpha Schools. They prioritize student agency — supporting children in taking ownership of their learning, building confidence through success and challenge, and developing independence.
- The family believes nature and technology aren't at odds. They're drawn to adaptive (AI) learning tools that let students master concepts at their own pace, but they're still working out the right balance between screen-based and hands-on learning across subjects and age groups. The ideal candidate is open-minded and excited to help get that balance right.
- The right candidate is emotionally grounded and attuned -- someone who values emotional development as much as academics. They are adaptable and solutions-oriented, naturally creating enriching experiences from anywhere. They can build authentic relationships within the Rincon community and communicate clearly with families about curriculum, goals, and expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a bilingual (Spanish/English), project-based curriculum supporting academic and social-emotional development
- Guide learning through hands-on experiences, nature-based exploration, and real-world applications
- Foster independence, curiosity, and confidence in students
- Shape the program's expansion, structure, and long-term vision
- Partner closely with families to communicate goals, progress, and expectations
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of professional teaching experience in a classroom or homeschool setting
- Spanish fluency
- Experience with kindergarten through early elementary age groups
- Ability to swim and comfort caring for children in and near water
- Valid driver’s license and very comfortable driving
- Valid passport
