This calm, professional family in San Francisco, CA is seeking a warm, professional rotational nanny/family assistant to join their household team and provide exceptional care for their three children.

• Ages of children: 8 and turning 2 years old, and a newborn baby
• Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time rotational schedule of 7 days on / 7 days off with 24/7 live-in care while on duty; rotations begin and end on Tuesday evenings; typical active hours are 6:00 or 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. with overnight monitor responsibility. 
• Compensation: The family is offering an hourly and overtime rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of approximately $200k/year.
• Benefits: The family is offering paid sick days, full medical, health, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k), and relocation assistance.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-in while on rotation, live-out while off rotation.
• Other notes: The family is open to candidates who are local, willing to relocate for the role, or within a commutable distance in Northern California — no fly-in/fly-out arrangements.

• This organized, calm, structured, professional, and private family has three children: an 8-year-old boy, a spirited little girl who is turning 2, and a newborn baby boy. Their oldest son is with the family every other week and attends school during the week. Their newest addition was born in August, and a newborn care specialist is currently supporting the baby and will remain with the family through mid-January, providing continuity during his first several months. The children's days are anchored by predictable routines and established household SOPs, while still leaving plenty of room for play, laughter, exploration, and developmentally appropriate play-based learning. The family values caregivers who can tune into each child's individual stage and personality while maintaining a peaceful, consistent rhythm throughout the day.
• This is a dual-career, fully staffed household. Mom currently works at home while Dad is regularly in and out of the home. The existing team includes a housekeeper, estate manager, Chief of Staff, and additional nannies, and everyone works collaboratively within clearly established roles and household systems. The home is semi-formal, with professionalism expressed through discretion, thoughtful communication, respect for boundaries, and an ability to read the room rather than through uniforms or excessive formality. It is also a quiet and peaceful home, so the family appreciates a caregiver who can be playful, silly, and joyful with the children while maintaining a calm, low-key presence throughout the rest of the household. The family is building two teams of two rotational nannies each who can support one another with coverage and breaks. There is some light family travel throughout the year, and a nanny vehicle is provided for driving while on duty. Ideal Candidate:

• The ideal candidate is a warm, playful, grounded, and highly adaptable career nanny/family assistant who genuinely delights in children and understands how to balance joyful engagement with calm structure. An attuned nanny/family assistant will be comfortable caring for children across a broad range of developmental stages, from infancy through the toddler-aged range, and will naturally incorporate play-based learning, age-appropriate activities, and opportunities for exploration into the children's days will be a wonderful addition to their team. The right person will follow the children's cues, understand developmental milestones, and create an engaging environment in which each child can grow and thrive.
• The right candidate will be perceptive, discreet, resourceful, and exceptionally professional. The family is looking for someone who intuitively reads the room, respects boundaries with the principals, communicates thoughtfully, and is comfortable working independently without bringing an overly loud or dominant presence into the home. At the same time, they should be a natural collaborator who enjoys being part of an established household team, follows shared SOPs, coordinates seamlessly with fellow nannies and household staff, and proactively supports their nanny teammate with breaks and coverage. Previous international travel experience with families is essential, along with the adaptability, organization, and confidence to maintain the children’s routines and provide exceptional care while on the road. Someone who genuinely enjoys the rotational set-up and is seeking a long-term position with a professional, fully staffed household will thrive in this role.
• Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive; child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep for the children, tidying, organizing children's areas, children’s laundry, occasional errands, before and after school routines including school drop-off and pick-up, coordinating activities, holding the monitor overnight while on duty, and traveling with the family throughout the year. The candidate will occasionally assist with light family tasks such as picking up dry cleaning, managing the dishwasher, and taking out the trash.

Qualifications: 

• 10 years of professional childcare experience
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for infants and toddlers
• Valid driver's license and passport
• Travel experience, including international experience 
• Experience working in a team or a fully-staffed home
• Ability to live-in while on duty and live-out while off duty
• ROTA experience
• Partners, family members, and/or pets cannot be housed in any temporary or long-term accommodations provided by the family
