The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.

Household dynamic:
- This creative, playful, and calm Boulder family is seeking a nanny/family assistant to support their family! Their sweet 2-year-old son is an independent little thinker with a curious, engaged spirit who may begin attending preschool for half days in the coming months. His parents take a gentle, practical approach to caregiving and encourage plenty of outdoor time, hands-on play, exploration, and age-appropriate independence. Extended family is an important part of the household's rhythm, with his grandparents also actively involved in his life. The family is excited to welcome someone who genuinely enjoys a communal family environment. The household also includes a beloved 80-pound dog, and the nanny/family assistant will be required to support light pet care, including feeding, refreshing water, potty breaks, and basic playtime.
- This is a wellness-forward, collaborative household with a true team mentality. One parent is currently taking a break from their traditional work to spend more time with their son, while the other has a demanding professional schedule. Throughout the day, parents may be in and out of the home. They maintain a fully staffed home with a collaborative team, so a candidate who thrives within a team environment is key. The family values health and wellness and generally enjoys organic, dairy- and wheat-free meals, so food and snack preparation, juicing, and occasional family meal preparation will be part of the role. They anticipate traveling approximately 8-12 weeks each year, including stays at vacation homes, resorts, and destinations such as Hawaii or Ireland. They are looking for a travel-ready candidate who can comfortably support the family at home or while traveling. Above all, the family prioritizes finding the right long-term match to grow alongside them. While their ideal vision is a Nanny/Family Assistant, they are equally open to a Family Assistant/Personal Assistant structure and offer exceptional flexibility on schedule, scope, and parameters to tailor the role around an outstanding candidate, so someone with personal assistant experience is a big plus.
Ideal candidate:
- This position is ideal for a warm, self-confident, grounded, organized nanny/family assistant who truly loves toddlers and brings a playful, bubbly energy while remaining patient, calm, and even-keeled. The family values someone who sees their son as an independent thinker and can thoughtfully support his developmental milestones, curiosity, autonomy, and love of the outdoors. They hope to find a health-minded, engaging, perceptive, and resourceful caregiver who is a stellar listener, easily conversational, and genuinely enjoys being around the family, extended family, and other members of the household team. While the family holds high standards when it comes to childcare, healthy eating, and overall well-being, they are very casual people at heart and hope to find someone proactive who feels like an easygoing, comfortable part of the family while bringing those same high standards to their work.
- Flexibility and a collaborative spirit will be especially important in this role. Some days will be centered primarily around hands-on childcare, while others may become more household- or assistant-focused depending on preschool, time with grandparents, the parents' schedules, and the family's evolving needs. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who notices what needs to be done, is curious and excited to learn new things, genuinely loves organizing, and can pivot comfortably between responsibilities. They will also be comfortable working within a fully staffed home and traveling alongside the family for extended periods throughout the year. Someone who shares the household's enthusiasm for healthy eating and wellness will also be a wonderful fit!
- Responsibilities include creating an environment for the child to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing children's areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. Family assisting duties include running errands, light meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, coordinating vendors, light pet care, and managing the family calendar.
- While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate with personal assistant or family assistant experience, a teaching or educational background, a Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in a child or education-related field, and Spanish or French language skills. Personal assistant experience is a big plus! As the family may welcome another child in the next 1-2 years, a candidate who loves caring for infants would also be wonderful.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for toddlers
- Willingness to perform family assistant tasks and ideally enjoy family assistant tasks
- Travel experience
- Able to swim and care for children in water
- Pet-friendly and willing to support light pet care
- Valid driver's license and passport
- Partners and family members cannot be housed in any temporary or long-term accommodations provided by the family. They are open to a pet being housed in their tiny house setup.
