Darien, CT | Engaging Nanny Wanted For Active And Playful Family

This playful, musical, and bustling family is seeking a warm, engaging, and reliable nanny to provide excellent care for their three active children.

• Location: Darien, Connecticut, with flexible visits to Old Greenwich, CT, or Westport, CT
• Ages of children: Boys, 4, 3, and 1 years old
• Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week, with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 2:30pm.
• Compensation: The family is offering $40-50/hour based on the 40-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation in the $83,200-104,000/year range. The family may be open to a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing 2 weeks paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance for the right candidate.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-out
• Other notes: The family will highly prioritize local candidates or those within a commutable distance of Darien, CT.

Household dynamic:

• Three young boys ages 4, 3, and 1 year old.  The kids love joking around. The eldest enjoys reading, numbers, and climbing, the middle enjoys music and biking, and the youngest is generally silly and laughs a lot.
• Value learning through play, daily time outdoors, and physical activity.
• No-screen home
• All the boys are at home (no part-time school or activities) and play together in biking, music, silliness, and fun.
• Looking for someone comfortable partnering with a co-nanny to help balance the boys' schedules, meal times, etc.
• Home in Darien, Connecticut- a 10-minute walk from the train station

Ideal candidate:

• Seeking a bubbly, warm person with a sense of humor.
• Is patient and comfortable with the energetic environment of multiple kids.
• Enjoys the outdoors in all weather
• Encourages learning through play.
• Can set boundaries, values manners, and maintains a consistent schedule
• A proactive personality to help raise the boys, whom we can treat as a partner. This person should feel comfortable identifying and discussing opportunities for the kids or household with the parents.
• Responsibilities include caring for children and child-related household tasks such as meal prep, tidying children’s areas, and occasional errands.
• Potential (Optional) travel with family 1-2 weeks a year to Florida or California.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional childcare experience
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate child developmental milestones for 1-6 years old
• Valid driver's license
• Able to swim and care for children in water
• Partners, family members, and/or pets cannot be housed in any temporary or long-term accommodations provided by the family
