Household dynamic:
- This creative, peaceful Denver-based family is seeking a nanny to support their growing family! At the heart of this role is their son, who is at the very beginning of his journey — sleeping, feeding, and discovering the world around him. Mom is currently nursing, pumping, and bottle-feeding, so the nanny will support the baby’s feeding and daily routine and maintain a safe, calm, nurturing environment at home. The family is thoughtfully approaching the 3-month mark and exploring the structure that will best serve their son as he grows and his sleep patterns evolve.
- Both parents are self-employed and work with a great deal of flexibility, allowing them to remain actively involved in their son’s life. They are looking for a nanny who is comfortable working collaboratively with involved parents while confidently taking ownership of the baby’s care. The family currently lives in a cozy home in Denver, and they are genuinely committed to finding the right long-term match for their family.
Ideal candidate:
- This position is ideal for a calm, gentle, grounded infant-savvy nanny who brings confidence to infant care and thrives in a thoughtful, relaxed home environment. The ideal candidate is someone who is perceptive and attuned, able to read a newborn's cues, patient in their approach, and knowledgeable about early developmental intellectual engagement. The candidate should be self-directed, comfortable stepping into the role with expertise, while remaining deeply collaborative and communicative with the family.
- The role will evolve as the baby grows. An adaptable nanny who can thoughtfully support these transitions will be a wonderful fit. They will feel at home in a household that values sensitivity, creativity, and playfulness, and they will bring a grounded, peaceful energy that complements the family's own. A genuine enthusiasm for infant development and an appreciation for educational philosophy will resonate deeply with this family.
- Responsibilities include creating an environment for the child to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to bottle preparation, tidying and organizing the nursery and children's areas, occasional errands, supporting feeding and sleep routines, and traveling with the family as needed throughout the year.
- While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has a background in Montessori and Reggio Emilia!
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for infants
- Valid driver's license
- Open to family assisting tasks
- Partners, family members, and/or pets cannot be housed in any temporary or long-term accommodations provided by the family
