Household dynamic:

  • This warm, welcoming NYC-based family is excited to welcome their second child and is seeking a newborn care specialist to support their growing family! With an almost 3-year-old in the household and a little one expected to arrive in mid-February, the family is looking forward to building on the strong foundation they’ve established with their first child. They value knowledgeable, nurturing childcare professionals who can offer expert guidance and are excited to welcome someone who can help establish a calm and confident foundation in those precious early weeks.
  • Both parents are actively involved, with one parent regularly at home. This is a well-supported, fully-staffed household with an established childcare team, including a dedicated nanny for the older child and a trusted caregiver, who will be returning as the family’s newborn care specialist to work alongside this new hire. The candidate will work closely alongside the family’s care team, sharing responsibility for the newborn’s care throughout the contract. The family values a professional, team-oriented approach and is looking for someone who will partner closely with them in their baby’s care. They hope to create a warm, supportive environment where their newborn can thrive, with healthy feeding and sleep routines gently guided by an experienced professional who brings both expertise and a reassuring, collaborative spirit to each day.

‍

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for a highly experienced, knowledgeable, nurturing, and intuitive newborn care specialist who brings deep expertise in early infant care and a warm confidence to their work with children. The family is looking for a competent, capable newborn care specialist who can take initiative, offer thoughtful recommendations, confidently guide feeding and sleep routines while empowering the parents with education and gentle support, building trust and collaboration from day one.
  • The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and natural team player who is comfortable working alongside the parents and the family’s seasoned newborn care specialist. They thrive in a collaborative, all-hands-on-deck environment and take pride in creating a calm, safe, and loving space for a newborn to grow and thrive.
  • Responsibilities include creating a nurturing and safe environment for the newborn to thrive, as well as other child-related tasks including prepping and sanitizing bottles, baby's laundry, tidying the nursery, and generally bringing a supportive, all-hands-on-deck, collaborative attitude to each day.
