
This loving, dedicated Miami family is seeking a warm, professional, developmentally-minded nanny/family assistant to nurture their children’s development and provide light household support to maintain an organized home.
- Location: Miami, Florida
- Ages of children: 8.5 and 3.5 years old
- Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
- Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week, with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 12pm to 8pm, with flexibility to start earlier when there is no school. Flexibility for occasional coverage for weekends, date nights, and overnights will be communicated in advance and appreciated.
- Compensation: The family is offering $40-45/hour based on the 40-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $83,200-93,600/year range. The family may be open to a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
- Benefits: The family is open to providing paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance for the right candidate.
- Live-in/Live-out: Preference for live-out. The family is open to live-in for the perfect fit.
Household dynamic:
- A loving and dynamic family of four is looking for a dedicated nanny/family assistant to care for their two daughters. Their children, aged 8.5 and 3.5 years, are both in school full-time and have distinct personalities and needs. The eldest daughter is emotionally expressive and deeply feeling, while the youngest is strong-willed. Next year, the family plans to enroll their youngest in a Montessori school to foster her independence. The nanny/family assistant will play a key role in supporting both children’s growth and development, children’s emotional development, helping them navigate big feelings, encouraging independence, and fostering a positive sibling dynamic.
- Both parents work in and out of the home. They value hard work and a calm, easy-going environment at home and prioritize the well-being of their children. During the summer, the family travels to the Hamptons and would love their nanny/family assistant to join them.

Someone comfortable with pitching in with light family assisting tasks, such as grocery shopping when children are at school or as needed, will be highly valued. The family has a direct communication style and works both in and out of the home. They value their quiet time while the children are at school, so the right candidate will be able to read the room and feel comfortable heading out early when appropriate. The family hopes to work with someone who will build a meaningful bond with their daughters and be a steady, positive presence in their lives for years to come.
- Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. Family assisting duties include running errands, grocery shopping, coordinating vendors, and managing the family calendar.
- While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who speaks Spanish and/or has an early childhood education (ECE) unit or background in child development
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Knowledge and experience with toddlers and elementary-aged children
- Valid driver's license
- Open to family assistant duties
- Partners, family members, and/or pets cannot be housed in any temporary or long-term accommodations provided by the family
