Multi-Residence | Grounded Nanny/Family Assistant Wanted For Global Family

This warm, adventurous, globally minded family is seeking a calm, proactive, travel-ready nanny/family assistant to care for their 5-month-old daughter and be a steady, dependable presence, helping the household run smoothly.

• Location: Zilker Park, Austin, TX and Nosara, Costa Rica
• Ages of children: 5 months old
• Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week, with the general schedule falling on either Monday through Saturday from 7:30am to 1:30pm, or Tuesday through Saturday from 7:30am to 3:30pm. The family would prefer the former, but is flexible for the right candidate.
• Compensation: The family is offering $40-50/hour based on the 40-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation in the $83,200-104,000/year range. The family may be open to a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, a housing stipend, and relocation assistance for the right candidate.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-out in Austin, Texas. When traveling, the family will cover housing accommodations.

They also share their home with two friendly dogs!
• This adventurous, globally minded family splits their year between Austin, Texas, and Nosara, Costa Rica, spending December through February and July through August in Nosara, March through May and September through November in Austin, and setting off on a new adventure each June, often choosing cool, beautiful mountain destinations. They have built strong, vibrant communities in both Austin and Costa Rica and cherish the opportunity to experience their favorite places during their best seasons. Whether surfing, diving, horseback riding, hiking, or exploring Nosara by ATV, they love spending time outdoors and hope to raise their child with a deep appreciation for adventure, lifelong learning, and joyful movement. Both parents are in and out of the home as entrepreneurs. Currently, they are supported by a weekly housekeeper and a full-time nanny who is transitioning out after August. They are looking for someone genuinely excited by their travel-filled lifestyle and eager to become a trusted set of hands, providing exceptional care while also helping with family-assisting tasks when needed, and thoughtfully supporting the overall rhythm of this loving home.

• Responsibilities include creating an environment for the child to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing children’s areas, occasional errands, coordinating activities, packing and unpacking, and traveling with the family throughout the year. Family assisting duties include running light errands, light meal planning and preparation, tidying the home, grocery shopping, coordinating vendors, and managing the family calendar.
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who speaks Spanish and genuinely loves travelling. Experience or familiarity with Montessori is a huge plus!

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Family assisting experience
• Comfortable preparing meals for the entire family
• Willingness to support family assistant tasks (tidying up, light errands, etc) and travel logistics (packing for children, etc.)  
• Travel experience
• Able to swim and care for children in water
• Dog friendly
• Valid driver's license
• Valid passport
• Partners, family members, and/or pets cannot be housed in any temporary or long-term accommodations provided by the family
