Household dynamic:

  • This is a warm, loving family of three who splits their time between Miami, FL, and Palo Alto, CA. Their home is lively, playful, and full of love. They value kindness, curiosity, and connection, and are looking for someone who can become an extension of their family. Their 5-month-old is a joyful, observant baby with a full head of hair and a big personality already. He’s thriving and growing fast. The household is bilingual in Spanish and English, and they would love a nanny who feels comfortable communicating in both languages. Two sweet, hypoallergenic dogs are also beloved members of the family, so someone who is pet-friendly is important.
  • The family leads a dynamic lifestyle filled with travel, often spending several weeks at both domestic and international destinations, including a recent trip to Shanghai. They typically stay in one location for a few weeks to a couple of months, allowing them to establish a routine while still being on the move. Their household is warm, structured, and loving, and they are eager to find someone who can grow with them and be a consistent, positive presence in their son's life, no matter where they are in the world.

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for an emotionally intelligent, patient, and naturally attuned Spanish-speaking nanny who is deeply in tune with the baby’s cues and needs. The family values a strong communicator who can provide thoughtful updates throughout the day, especially as they juggle a busy, often shifting schedule. The ideal nanny is someone nurturing, reliable, and a candidate who brings positive energy into their home. Supporting their son’s development is their top priority. Someone who genuinely cares and loves their son almost as much as they do will be key! They are seeking someone who is not only attentive to his milestones but actively helps him reach them through engaging interaction, thoughtful stimulation, and play-based learning. A candidate who is confident working independently but also comfortable collaborating with the family and other caregivers when needed will be a wonderful addition. A sense of humor, a positive attitude, and a genuine love for children go a long way in this loving family. They are eager to meet someone who will be part of their son’s early memories and help him explore the world with love and curiosity. The ideal candidate should be adaptable, travel-ready, and comfortable caring for children in new environments. They will also work alongside a housekeeper and a chef, so someone who is collaborative and can effectively interact with the family and other household staff will thrive in this supportive home.
  • Responsibilities include creating an environment for the child to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year.
  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has travel experience, background in early childhood/educational, and/or a Bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for infants through toddlers
  • Spanish language fluency
  • Ability to swim and care for children in and around water
  • Valid passport
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to drive around the family’s area of residence
  • Dog-friendly
  • Vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
