Household dynamic:
- This lighthearted, inclusive, and professional family of three based in Alaska is excited to welcome a nanny to join their team in caring for their sweet and curious 1-year-old son. Both parents described themselves as easy-going and deeply focused on creating a happy and secure life for their son. Their top priorities are their son’s happiness, safety, and continuous development. At 1 year old, their son is already a vibrant and inquisitive little one who loves to learn and is always on the move. His parents lovingly describe him as a “man on a mission”. He’s currently trying to teach himself chess and has a great affinity towards music!
- Both parents are born and raised Alaskans who now run their own businesses and lead fast-paced, entrepreneurial lives. While Mom is in and out of the home regularly, she’s eager to collaborate with someone who can take the reins on all things childcare and be a sounding board for developmental milestones and best practices. The family maintains an inclusive, non-judgmental household and has a broad, life-long community of close friends from all walks of life.
- They love to travel approximately once a month and typically spend several weeks away from Anchorage throughout the year. The family owns multiple vacation homes throughout Alaska and California and often travels to Santa Barbara, Las Vegas, and St. Tropez, France. They would love for the nanny to join them on their adventures. They also employ housekeepers and a personal assistant.
Ideal candidate:
- This position is ideal for someone who has a wealth of experience in early childhood education and development and is excited to support a curious and bright 1-year-old through these foundational years. The family is seeking someone who can confidently step in, take initiative, and offer clear, expert guidance from day one. This position is perfect for someone who can keep up with the child, foster his curiosity, teach him new things, and support his social, emotional, and developmental milestones with intention and care. A nanny who will provide him with the necessary tools to be the best version of himself will excel in this role.
- A versatile candidate, someone who embraces spontaneity on sunny days and brings calm structure at home on wintery days, will be a perfect fit! Maintaining a screen-free and fully present approach to care will be key. The family values an inclusive, kind, and adaptable nanny who sees themselves as part of the team and genuinely enjoys being in partnership with parents.
