Professional And Grounded Nanny Needed For Down-To-Earth Plano Family

This loving Plano, TX family is seeking an emotionally intelligent, detail-oriented nanny to partner with them long-term in caring for their infant daughter and cultivating a grounded, educationally-minded environment.

• Location: Plano, Texas
• Ages of children: 2.5 months old (only child)
• Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Live-in with 24/7 care until the newborn is sleeping through the night, then moving to a full-time live-out role, guaranteeing 60 hours per week, with the general schedule falling Monday through Friday from approximately 7:00am to 7:00pm. Flexibility to travel with the family on short notice is key!
• Compensation: The family is offering $40-50/hour based on the 60-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $145-$180k/year range.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance plan or stipend, and relocation assistance for the right candidate.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-out after introductory transitional period. During the first 1-2 months, the candidate will be live-in and be provided with a private bedroom and bathroom shared with the newborn.

• Both parents work from home full-time. While Mom travels for work (25-30% of the time), Dad rarely travels. Grandparents who live nearby often visit and are a cherished part of the family’s support system. The family loves to travel with friends, and enjoys frequent short visits to NYC, trips to the Caribbean during winter holidays, and summer getaways in Europe. They have an upcoming trip in mid-August and would love the candidate to join them. Discretion and privacy are of utmost importance and key to supporting this family, both at home and on the go.

• This position is ideal for a warm, down-to-earth, and grounded nanny who brings emotional intelligence and heart to their work. The family is seeking someone passionate about creating a grounded, educationally-minded environment for their daughter while supporting her early growth and development. Experience supporting infancy to toddlerhood development is essential. The nanny should have the desire to teach, play and foster intellectual, social, and physical development. The ideal candidate will be confident in all aspects of infant care, including feeding, burping, calming techniques, napping schedules, tummy time routines, and sleep training. Familiarity with baby gear like sanitizers, bottle warmers, formula prep, and Doona strollers is needed. Familiarity with baby food preparation and transition to a solids diet is a plus.
• The ideal candidate will have high emotional intelligence, discretion, and healthy professional boundaries, whom they can trust in the home. They’re looking for someone who can navigate a range of environments with ease, whether it's at their suburban home, joining the family in public settings, or supporting them in high-profile environments.
• A candidate who exudes patience, warmth, and kindness and can easily shift into baby-mode will be a great fit. An individual who is active, energetic, and comfortable independently handling tasks including breaking down and setting up a stroller during travel, lifting a growing baby in a car seat, managing standard carry on and check in size luggage, standing up from the floor while holding an infant, stepping over playpen gates with ease, and confidently going on long walks with a stroller or while wearing a baby harness will excel in this role! Strong professional and communication skills will be highly valued in this intentional home.
• Responsibilities include child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. The family appreciates limiting outside staff to their home, so someone who is detail-oriented with a pitch-in attitude when it comes to supporting light housekeeping and pet care will be key.
• A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a child or education-related field is a big plus. The ideal candidate will have experience traveling with ultra-high-net-worth families, handling all baby-related tasks independently and pitching-in alongside the parents, especially during travel or family outings.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for infants through toddlers
• Comfortable preparing basic meals for children
• Travel experience
• Pet friendly
• Able to swim and care for children in water
• Family assisting experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid passport
• Vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
• Familiarity with a second language, such as Mandarin or Spanish, is appreciated but not required!
