Household dynamic:

  • This dynamic and globally-minded family is seeking a ROTA nanny to join their team! They have five children aged 10 months to 10, bringing energy and joy to their home. Both parents describe their children as very active, enjoying multiple activities, from choir and piano to soccer and swimming. The candidate will support the children’s daily routines while creating a nurturing, interactive, and stimulating environment for them to grow and develop.
  • This family leads a busy, on-the-go lifestyle and enjoys traveling 6-9 weeks each year during school breaks and throughout the summer. Their days are dynamic, and no two days are the same, so someone who can roll with the changes will be valued. Mom also loves to stay organized and values structure to keep everything running smoothly. This is a fully staffed home, including a house manager to whom the nannies report, a housekeeping team, a cooking team, and a childcare team. A true team player who is confident working in a collaborative environment will be essential! Mom is not currently working and is involved in the children’s lives. Experience working alongside a parent is important.

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for an adaptable, organized, playful, and travel-ready rotational nanny who thrives in an on-the-go lifestyle and finds joy in supporting and nurturing energetic children. Someone who has the stamina to keep up with active children throughout the day is essential. An intuitive and collaborative professional candidate who brings an experienced and confident childcare approach through non-reactive redirection, gentle guidance, and positive reinforcement will fit in. A strong understanding of child development and emotional regulation, being attuned to the children’s needs, and meeting each child where they are emotionally and developmentally is required. The ideal candidate will naturally connect with children and is passionate about fostering a warm, enriching environment where curiosity, creativity, and movement are encouraged! A calm, but energetic, adaptable, and organized candidate who can easily shift gears and manage the family’s moving pieces will thrive in this role!
  • Responsibilities include creating a safe, loving, and structured environment for the children to grow and thrive. Child-related household tasks include but are not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing children’s areas, occasional errands, supporting before and after school routines, driving kids to and from school and activities, coordinating activities, and traveling domestically and internationally with the family throughout the year.
  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with an educationally-minded candidate who has a bachelor’s degree - ideally with a psychology background, and/or has experience working with 4+ children in one role.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Minimum 1 year of proven experience working on a rotational schedule
  • Fully-staffed home experience and/or experience working in a very collaborative home
  • Experience working with 3+ children in one role
  • Travel nanny experience
  • Able to swim and care for children in water
  • Valid driver’s license and comfortable driving in and around the family’s residence
  • Valid passport
  • Vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
