Household dynamic:

  • This adventurous, globally minded, and down-to-earth family based in SoHo, NYC, is excited to welcome a team of rotational nannies to support their growing family! With their second daughter expected in March 2027, this is an especially exciting chapter for the household. Their eldest is a bright, curious, and playful 2-year-old girl with a wonderfully independent spirit and a strong sense of self. She attends a Spanish-immersion, Reggio-inspired preschool five days a week, with her daily routine typically including morning care before school and afternoon support through bedtime. The home also includes one sweet, elderly small dog, with any potential pet care responsibilities to be discussed with the right candidate.
  • This dynamic, dual-career household embraces an active, globally minded lifestyle filled with travel, adventure, and meaningful family time. Both parents work in and out of the home, and the family enjoys a collaborative, fully staffed environment that includes a housekeeper, personal assistant, security staff, additional nanny support, and other part-time household professionals. The family divides their time between multiple residences and travels internationally for more than 12 weeks each year, enjoying everything from resort stays and yachting adventures to destinations such as South America and Lake Como. One or both nannies may accompany the family on these trips, with private accommodations provided. The family is seeking two full-time nannies to work a rotational schedule, likely two weeks on and two weeks off, with flexibility based on the family's needs. Spanish-language immersion, early childhood development, and a supportive, team-oriented atmosphere are important parts of daily life. Above all, the family hopes to build lasting relationships with caregivers who become trusted, valued members of their household and grow alongside their children for years to come.

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for a warm, patient, resourceful, and globally-minded rotational nanny who delights in engaging a bright, curious toddler and truly bonding with the children in their care. The family is looking for a developmentally minded rotational nanny who can converse meaningfully with their little one, stimulate and challenge a precocious young mind, model manners and respectful behavior, and bring genuine early childhood development expertise to each day. The right candidate builds relationships rooted in mutual love and respect and approaches caregiving with autonomy and intention.
  • Because this household is fully staffed and highly mobile, the family hopes to find someone who thrives in a collaborative team, communicates proactively, and operates confidently and independently across multiple residences. A candidate who genuinely loves travel and adventure and embraces a multi-home rhythm. Someone who is seeking a long-term relationship and excited to grow alongside the family will be a wonderful addition to their collaborative team.
  • Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing children's areas, children's laundry, occasional errands, before and after school routines including drop-off and pick-up, coordinating activities, packing for travel and relocations, and traveling with the family throughout the year.
  • While not a requirement, the family would love to work with a candidate who has the following:

  • Experience or familiarity with Montessori / Waldorf / Reggio Emilia
  • Willingness to perform family assistant tasks
  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in a child or education-related field preferred

  • Valid driver's license and passport
  • Able to swim and care for children in water
  • Experience traveling with families and children
  • Partners, family members, and/or pets cannot be housed in any temporary or long-term accommodations provided by the family
