- Schedule: Full-time guaranteed hours, although most weeks will fall between 20-25 hours per week.

Household dynamic:
- This wellness-oriented family is excited to welcome a full-time nanny into their household team to support their curious and energetic 3-year-old son! The family is raising a bright and active child who is growing in confidence and loves to explore the world around him, and is committed to providing him with an enriching and developmentally supportive environment. While there are no pets in their primary residence, the family owns a villa in Italy with a few goats, which they very much adore as pets.
- Travel is an important part of the family's lifestyle. They lead an active, travel-filled life, dividing their time between their homes and charming international locations throughout the year. The candidate might be requested to spend about six months at their home in the Bahamas, two to three months in Toronto, Canada, during the summer, and the rest of their time traveling abroad, including a few weeks in US and other destinations. Although they travel frequently, they typically stay in each location for several weeks, which helps provide a sense of stability and routine for both the family and their staff. Both parents are highly engaged in their son’s daily care and present at home. This is a fully staffed household, including a housekeeper, a chef, another full-time nanny (the candidate is expected to work alongside her), a personal assistant, and occasional contractors.
Ideal Candidate:
- This position is ideal for a grounded, professional, and highly experienced nanny who brings practical experience in caring for and teaching preschool-aged children, particularly in a preschool or Montessori environment. The perfect candidate will be someone who can lead and thoughtfully plan learning activities, and provide nurturing and well-rounded support for their child with confidence and independence. Their son is an incredibly active child, so someone who can keep up with a spirited toddler and help keep him safe while encouraging a spirit of curiosity will be vital.
- The family values clear boundaries and a professional approach, and would highly appreciate a candidate who brings their own life experience and passions to the table. Both parents cherish their personal space and are hands-on in parenting, so the right person will be an emotionally intelligent, positive, and intuitive - someone who understands when to offer support and feels at ease working closely and collaboratively with them. Someone with discretion, who knows how to step in when needed and step out during family time, will fit in! This is not a sole-charge role, and the nanny will enjoy relaxed hours. The family travels regularly, so a travel-ready nanny who is willing to relocate to the Bahamas and join in the family adventures will be key! The family would highly appreciate a collaborative, team-oriented candidate who is eager to support them long-term.
- Responsibilities include creating an environment for the child to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year.
- While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has experience working with professional families and/or staffed households. Someone who is health-oriented, including embracing clean eating and lifestyle, yoga, mindfulness, and wellness, will vibe well.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Valid US passport
- Valid driver's license
- Experience with preschool-aged children in the last 5 years
- Teaching experience in a preschool and/or Montessori environments
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- Ability to pass drug tests throughout employment
- Fluency in English (written and verbal)
