- Location: South Tampa, Florida
- Ages of children: 8 months, 3, and 4 years old
- Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
- Schedule: Full-time, rotational schedule of 2 weeks on/2 weeks off. Candidates can expect to be on-call for all 24 hours. The family will communicate about specific weekly hours in advance. Flexibility for evenings, travel, and occasional overnight shifts during the rotation will be key for the right candidate. Reliability and adaptability are key to supporting the family’s schedule.
- Compensation: The family is offering an hourly and overtime rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of $120-150k/year dependent on candidate experience. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
- Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits, including a health insurance stipend and relocation assistance.
- Live-in/Live-out: Live-in while on duty and live-out while off duty. A private bedroom with an ensuite will be provided on the upper level of the home, where all other bedrooms are located.
- Relocation: This is not a fly-in fly-out role. The family will require the candidate to either live-in or relocate within a commutable distance.
Household dynamic:
- This is a bustling household centered around faith and family. Based in South Tampa, the family is home to three young children who are cared for by an actively involved stay-at-home mom. Their 3 and 4-year-olds are homeschooled once a week and benefit from a weekly visit from an occupational therapist educator, in addition to attending a clinic once a week for a few hours. This is a safe, joyful, and values-driven environment that emphasizes fostering a collaborative spirit and genuine love for nurturing young minds.
- Dad works full-time in an office, while Mom maintains a consistent presence at home. This is an active household that revels in outdoor adventures, even in the Florida humidity. The family also enjoys traveling within the US or Canada and has plans to take longer trips to Europe and Asia in the coming years. They are supported by a full-time housekeeper and another rotational nanny. Protection, discretion, and respect for the family’s privacy are essential in this loving home.
Ideal candidate:
- This position is ideal for a warm, positive, and naturally organized nanny who is experienced with young children and is passionate about nurturing emotionally intelligent, kind, and curious children! They seek a proactive nanny who naturally connects with children and can keep up with active little ones in a busy, homeschool-centered household. An educationally-minded candidate who is emotionally attuned and utilizes a gentle, respectful discipline and childcare approach, modeling empathy and emotional regulation, will be a great fit. The family values someone who respects structure, maintains a low-screen environment, and engages children through play, learning, and hands-on activities.
- The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, time management, and the ability to take initiative without constant direction. Someone dependable, receptive, and genuinely committed to supporting their family’s rhythm and values will be a wonderful addition to the team. The family will highly appreciate a nanny who can communicate effectively and welcomes feedback with professionalism. Discretion, professionalism, and a team-oriented mindset are also crucial, as this role involves working closely with an involved stay-at-home mom while honoring their family’s routines, values, and privacy.
- Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, occasional errands such as grocery shopping, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. Mom maintains a dairy-and soy-free diet due to the baby’s intolerance, so someone attentive to the dietary restrictions and comfortable accommodating the specific nutritional needs of the baby will be essential.
- While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who speaks Spanish or French and has a behavioral background or experience.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of professional childcare experience
- Ability to swim and care for children in and around water
- Experience working in a team or a fully-staffed environment
- Extensive experience caring for multiple children (3+) in a role
- Travel nanny experience
- Ability to lift and carry 30lbs
- Valid driver's license
- Valid passport
