
This private, active family in New York City, NY is seeking a grounded, adaptable, and proactive rotational nanny to provide attentive, exceptional care for their two children.
- Location: West Village, New York, NY
- Ages of children: 18-month-old and a baby due January 2027
- Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
- Schedule: Full-time rotational schedule of 1 week on/1 week off, adjusting to 2 weeks on/off on occasion with advance notice. The candidate can expect to be on call 24/7 while on rotation, with typical working hours between 8:00 AM–6:00 PM. Changes to the general working hours are communicated in advance.
- Compensation: The family is offering an hourly and overtime rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of $130k–$150k/year, depending on candidate experience.
- Benefits: The family provides paid time off, a public transportation pass, and a health insurance stipend.
- Live-in/Live-out: Live-out during standard NYC rotation weeks; live-in during the summer in Long Island, where the nanny will have a private bedroom and bathroom, and live-in during parents’ and family travel.
- Other Notes: While local candidates are preferred, the family is open to candidates who are prepared to relocate to NYC at their own expense. A family car is provided when driving is required; no personal vehicle is needed, and NYC driving is not expected.

Their bright, curious 18-month-old daughter is entering nursery school a couple of afternoons a week and enjoys sports and dance classes on other days. The family is also joyfully expecting their second child in January 2027. Days are anchored by nurturing, engaged care, plenty of play, and consistent routines that help their little one grow and thrive. The family also has a friendly dog at home, so comfort around dogs is essential.
- This is an active, adventurous household where Mom is at home throughout the day and the Dad maintains a flexible working schedule. The family uses their home as a place to wind down and enjoy quality time together. The family has one rotational nanny already working with them, so comfort working as part of a team is crucial. A newborn care specialist will cover the first four months after the second baby arrives, providing a supportive transition before the nanny takes on the care of two children. The family loves traveling, gathering with friends and family, and living a full life, spending approximately three months each summer in Long Island and taking eight to ten trips per year, blending domestic weekends and longer international travel. They value discretion, professionalism, and a caregiver who feels like a true long-term partner to the family.

- Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying and organizing of children's areas, before and after school routines, coordinating activities and taking the children on walks, playdates, and other enriching outings, children's laundry, replenishing supplies, organizing deliveries, rotating outgrown clothing and toys, packing for travel and relocations and completing occasional child-related errands, and traveling with the family throughout the year. The rotational nanny will collaborate and communicate proactively with the family, rotational nanny, and any other staff.
- Spanish fluency to support the children’s language immersion is a huge plus! Demonstrated interest or studies in childhood care and development will also be appreciated. Another nice thing to have would be a long-term, proven track record with previous families. Accordingly, the family will place a heavy emphasis on references.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for infants and toddlers
- Experience working in a team environment
- Ability to travel with the family throughout the year
- Complete availability during weeks on-shift
- Confident swimmer and able to swim and care for children in water
- Comfortable caring for multiple children
- Ability to live out during standard NYC rotation weeks, and live-in during travel and summer
- Dog-friendly
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Valid passport
- Partners, family members, and/or pets may not visit or reside in any temporary or long-term accommodations provided by the family
