Adaptable And Loving ROTA Nanny Needed For Dynamic Portland Family

This dynamic, loving Portland family is seeking an experienced and adaptable ROTA nanny to support their collaborative household team.

  • Location: Lake Oswego, Portland, Oregon
  • Ages of children: 2 years old
  • Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
  • Schedule: Full-time, rotational schedule of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. Candidates can expect to provide 24-hour coverage while on duty. Flexibility for travel and overnights during the rotation will be key!
  • Compensation: The family is offering an hourly and overtime rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of $115-125+k/year dependent on candidate experience. The family may be open to candidates seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
  • Benefits: The family is open to providing paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance for the right candidate.
  • Live-in/Live-out: Live-in while on duty. A private bedroom and bathroom will be provided.
  • Other Notes: The family is open to candidates who would fly in/fly out.

  • This loving, compassionate Oregon family is seeking a professional and adaptable rotational nanny to join them in caring for their only child! The family has a charming 2-year-old son who enjoys being active and loves everything water-related. The role will focus on caring for the toddler and ensuring an engaging and loving environment through planning enriching and developmental activities.
  • This single mom travels frequently throughout the year, spending quality time with her son. They are excited to work with someone adaptable and share an excitement for family adventures! Someone who is confident and collaborative working alongside a hands-on mom and other household staff, including another full-time nanny and an executive assistant will be immensely appreciated.

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for someone interactive and confident in providing attentive and nurturing care to a lively 2-year-old! A candidate who can take the lead in organizing and facilitating engaging and enriching activities, whether playing in the pool or taking an enjoyable walk in the park, will be a wonderful addition! The family is someone who can naturally adapt to their established household flow, following routines with ease and checking in with Mom and staff before making any changes. A true team player who can step in and out as needed and maintain open, respectful communication within the family and with other household members will excel in this role. Someone who brings a calm, laid-back, and collected approach to care is key!  
  • This is a child-focused role. Responsibilities include creating an environment for the child to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Knowledge and experience with the toddler age range
  • Valid passport
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience traveling with families and children
  • Comfortable preparing basic meals for children
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
