Atherton, CA | Professional ROTA Nanny Wanted For Organized Family

This thoughtful, organized Bay Area family is seeking two seasoned rotational nannies to join their household team and care for their joyful children.

• Location: Atherton, California
• Ages of children: almost 3 years old and 5 months old
• Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, rotational schedule of 2 weeks on/2 weeks off. Candidates can expect to work between the hours of 6/6:30am and 7pm. Flexibility for travel and extended coverage will be essential.
• Compensation: The family is offering an hourly and overtime rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of $150k-$170k/year, dependent on candidate experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing paid sick days, paid holidays, health insurance coverage, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance for the right candidate.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-out (offsite accommodations can be provided if needed) until approximately April 2027 due to the current NCS team's schedule. Once the NCS team's contract ends, the role will transition to live-in while on duty and live-out while off duty.
• Other notes: The family is open to fly in/out for candidates living in California, and is open to providing offsite accommodations for the right fit.

• This thoughtful, organized Bay Area family is seeking two dedicated rotational nannies to join their household team in supporting their joyful, easy-going son who is turning 3 this fall and his 5-month-old baby sister! Their son is a great sleeper, loves excursions and adventures with his nanny, and attends preschool four days per week. The family currently has a newborn care specialist team providing overnight care for the baby, with plans to continue this support through approximately April 2027 and the possibility of extending it depending on the family’s needs. The rotational nannies will work collaboratively to provide consistent, nurturing care for the children while partnering thoughtfully with the NCS team as the baby grows and transitions into the rotational nannies’ care. The family values professionalism, continuity, and teamwork across their care team and is looking for two nannies who can complement and contribute to this dynamic.
• Their household operates with a warm, collaborative team environment and maintains a fully staffed home, including an estate manager, personal assistant, housekeeper, rotational nannies, and their current NCS team. Organization, communication, and structure are essential to keeping the household running smoothly, and the team utilizes tools such as Google Calendar and other management apps to stay aligned. The family also travels frequently, including internationally, and is looking for a rotational nanny who is comfortable adapting to different environments, time zones, and occasional adjustments to the typical rotation while traveling. They are excited to welcome a true team player who can integrate seamlessly into the household, collaborate confidently with parents and staff, and grow with the family for years to come.

Ideal candidate:

• This position is ideal for seasoned, professional rotational nannies who bring a warm, confident, proactive approach to their care and a deep understanding of fostering the growth and development of both toddlers and infants. The family is looking for emotionally attuned rotational nannies who can naturally connect with kids, help them navigate through their big feelings, and thoughtfully guide them through early childhood milestones. A confident, experienced candidate with lead nanny energy who can easily collaborate with the family, other rotational nannies, and other household members will be a great fit.
• The ideal candidate will be highly organized and a strong communicator who is comfortable working in a fully staffed household and can work with other household members with professionalism and ease. A tech-savvy rotational nanny who is comfortable working with tools like Google Calendar, Google Sheets, and logging apps like BabyConnect will be important. Since the family travels frequently, a travel-ready candidate who is excited to join the family adventures will be a wonderful addition to the team. The family hopes to grow their family and is eager to work with a candidate who can support them long-term and grow with them through each new stage.
• Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, laundry, toy and book rotation, before and after school routines, coordinating thoughtful age-appropriate activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year.
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has Lead nanny and international travel experience. Experience with Asana (or similar project management tools), shared calendars, and expense-tracking applications is a major plus.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of professional childcare experience
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for infants and toddlers
• Comfortable caring for two kids in a role
• ROTA experience
• Live-in experience
• Experience working with a team
• Ability to travel with the family throughout the year
• Comfortable navigating Google Calendars, Google Sheets, and learning other organizational apps as needed
• Comfortable working with a stay-at-home mom
• Live-in while on duty and live-out while off-duty once the NCS team's contract ends
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid passport
• Partners, family members, and/or pets cannot be housed in any temporary or long-term accommodations provided by the family
