This caring, structured, outdoor-loving family is seeking a vibrant, high-energy, and safety-oriented temporary nanny to help care for their three active children at their beloved Babcock Lake, New York summer home.
- Destination: Babcock Lake, NY.
- Ages of children: 4.5, 2.5 years old, and 11 months old
- Contract dates: June 15 to August 31, 2026
- Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 45 hours per week. The general schedule will fall on Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
- Compensation: 40/hour
- Accommodations: Live-out with housing stipend provided for non-local candidates.

- This close-knit, organized, and sporty family of five is excited to welcome a temporary nanny into their Babcock Lake summer home to care for their three young children. Both older children are active and curious and enjoy sports, learning, and playing. The family loves the outdoors, and outdoor play and exploration, including swimming at the beach, are central activities to their summer rhythm. They are particularly excited to spend this summer together with their youngest child, who is 11 months old. This is the first summer that all three boys will be at the lake house together. The family has welcomed a different summer nanny each year, and their children are very at ease with new caregivers. The nanny will be responsible for caring for all three children, actively engaging them in age-appropriate outdoor activities, and supporting their daily needs.
- Both parents are educated, structured, and deeply family-oriented. They value structure and keeping their routines, particularly around nap schedules. Mom works from home during this time and will often be nearby. The lake house is a cozy, close-quarters space, and extended family is often around, so comfort in a warm, shared environment is important. The family would love the candidate to meet someone who is comfortable with this dynamic and is confident caring for their children on this rhythm.

The family values someone who is organized yet adaptable, who can keep the structure, especially around naps and daily routines, while remaining flexible and easygoing in a lively summer household. They are seeking someone who genuinely enjoys being outdoors, is enthusiastic about spending long days at the lake or beach, and brings a positive and engaged presence to everything from imaginative play to sports and exploration. They hope to work with a collaborative temporary nanny comfortable working with the family while maintaining professionalism and independently managing the day.
- Responsibilities include being a proactive, supportive childcare provider! A candidate who can assist with light child-related tidying and meal prep, packing and unpacking, planning engaging activities, and being a collaborative, warm person to have around will be a perfect fit.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for newborns
- Ability to swim and care for children in and near water
- Experience working with multiple kids (3 or more) in one role
- Partners, family members, and/or pets cannot be housed in any temporary or long-term accommodations provided by the family
