Household dynamic:

  • This well-supported family in Bulverde, Texas, has one delightful daughter who is two years old. She is funny, energetic, and loves to keep everyone laughing. She attends preschool during the day and enjoys gymnastics and dance classes during the week. Currently, she is transitioning to a Spanish-immersive school. While the home has many hands available to coordinate care and needs, the family would love dedicated support for her. Another beloved part of the family is their adorable dog.
  • Both parents lead busy lifestyles as entrepreneurs and travel often throughout the year, typically 8–12 weeks, primarily domestically with occasional international trips. At this time, their daughter only travels domestically with them. The family lives on a beautiful property and is supported by a full-staffed household, including a chef, housekeeper, organizer, scheduling assistant, pool maintenance, and interior designer. The nanny's primary focus will always be their daughter while also providing thoughtful family assistant support and traveling with the family when needed.

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for a professional career nanny who enjoys becoming an integral part of a well-supported household while maintaining clear professional boundaries. The ideal candidate will have a true passion for early childhood development and delight in creating engaging, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate experiences for a curious toddler. They will be enthusiastic about supporting the family's daughter through each stage of growth, including confidently caring for her textured hair and bringing a genuine willingness to learn this important aspect of her care.
  • The family is seeking someone who is highly trustworthy, dependable, and emotionally intelligent, someone who naturally leads with integrity, discretion, and sound judgment. They value a nanny who is warm, calm, confident, adaptable, and genuinely enjoys building lasting relationships with the families they serve while maintaining the professionalism expected in a private home. As the family hopes to grow in the future, they are excited to find a long-term nanny who is eager to grow alongside them.
  • Responsibilities include creating an environment for the child to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. Family assisting duties include running errands, light meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, managing packages, coordinating vendors, and managing the family calendar.
  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has experience in family assisting and speaks a second language (Spanish, Arabic, or French).

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Travel experience
  • Able to swim and care for children in water
  • Experience working in a team or fully-staffed environment
  • Pet friendly and willing to support light pet care
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid passport
  • Partners, family members, and/or pets cannot be housed in any temporary or long-term accommodations provided by the family
