Creative And Confident Nanny Needed For Fun-Loving Brentwood Family

This fun-loving Brentwood, Los Angeles, CA family is seeking a creative, confident nanny to support their four bright boys and collaborate with their warm team.

• Location: Brentwood, Los Angeles, CA
• Ages of children: 3, 4.5, 6, and 10 years old. The family is supported by additional caregivers, and the candidate will not be expected to care for all four children at once.
• Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Flexibility for one later date night per week and travel will be asked in advance and appreciated.
• Compensation: The family is offering $50-55/hour based on the 40-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $104-114k/year range, dependent on experience and the agreed-upon schedule. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits, including paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-out.

Household dynamic:

• This fun-loving, energetic family stays busy with their big crew! Their four boys are aged 3 to 10 years old, and described by their parents as super smart, both intellectually and emotionally. They are all in school during the day and are also spoken to exclusively in Spanish by their household staff. With a variety of interests, you can see them playing in the dirt, splashing in the pool, racing cars and monster trucks, and running around outside. The parents hope to raise their children to be caring, empathetic, communicative, and emotionally intelligent individuals. They look forward to partnering with a confident nanny who can help them instill these qualities and is eager to support their developmental needs while fostering clear and kind boundaries! The nanny will join the family’s nanny team, including two other caregivers. They have a dedicated nanny for their 10-year-old, who spends time between homes, and will be responsible for providing a nurturing and supportive presence for the children. Another significant part of the family is their sweet, cuddly family dog.
• Both parents are regularly in and out during the day as they manage their professional commitments. The family enjoys spending time at their second home in Florida and takes frequent ski trips throughout the year in Utah and Colorado. Someone who is travel-ready and is excited to join the family adventures and be a steady support while traveling will be a great fit! The family has a wonderful existing team of housekeepers and two full-time nannies who support the household. They are excited to welcome someone who has a team mindset and collaborates well with others!

Ideal Candidate:

• This position is ideal for a communicative, team player who enjoys working in a cooperative environment with parents, co-nannies, and active, curious children! A developmentally-minded nanny who can incorporate aspects of art, music, and education in their childcare approach will be a wonderful addition. The ideal candidate will be confident in planning and facilitating structured activities each week for the boys, particularly around their interests in arts and crafts and book making. A nanny who brings experience and enthusiasm for working with the preschool through early elementary years will be a wonderful addition! Someone who is attuned to their developmental milestones and excited to keep pace with an energetic, playful crew of boys will be highly valued. A candidate who can maintain firm yet fair boundaries and is excited to foster the social-emotional wellness of the children will be a great match for the family.  
• Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year.
• While not a requirement, the family would love to work with a candidate who speaks any second language and/or has an educational background.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license
• Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
• Experience working with preschool through school-age children and familiar with the associated developmental milestones
• Experience working in a role with multiple children
• Experience working in a team environment
• Willingness to pitch in with family assisting tasks
• Flexible to travel with the family throughout the year
• Dog/Pet-friendly!
