Philadelphia | Professional And Playful ROTA Nanny/Family Assistant Needed For Dynamic Family Of Four

This active family just outside of Philadelphia, PA is seeking a proactive, organized, and engaging rotational nanny/family assistant to help care for their 4 and 6-year-old children!

• Location: Philadelphia, PA
• Ages of children: 4 and 6 years old
• Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, rotational schedule of 2 weeks on/2 weeks off with 24/7 on-call availability expected during working weeks. Ability to collaborate with a co-nanny to adjust for the family’s travel schedule, or to adjust for personal time off may be asked in advance and appreciated.
• Compensation: The family is offering an hourly and overtime rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of $115-130k/year depending on the candidate's experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits, including a $400 monthly healthcare stipend, a monthly travel stipend for travel to and from the candidate’s place of residence, a monthly retirement contribution, a vehicle for on-duty use, and access to the on-site fitness room.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-in while on duty. Accommodations include a furnished private apartment on the family’s property, which is shared with the other rotational nanny during alternating shifts. The family is happy to consider candidates who would fly in and out for their work weeks. If a candidate would like to live locally in their off time, the family would happily provide accommodations nearby for the right candidate!

Both of the family’s curious and active children, at 4 and 6 years old, attend school five days per week and have many activities outside of school. They love to spend lots of time playing and engaging in sports in their free time! Whether skiing, exploring the trails and nature on the family’s 40 acres, or heading to the playground, the children love to be outside and active and look forward to a nanny who feels the same.
• As a family, their greatest joys include lots of outdoor activities, travel, and spending time with family and friends. They have worked to create a home and staff that will support the nanny’s ability to give attention and effort to their children’s growth and happiness, and the organization of their household. Each parent enjoys being involved with their daughters, so a nanny who has strong communication skills and is gifted in collaboration will make for a wonderful fit.
• The family travels frequently with their nannies, to destinations such as Aspen, CO, the south Jersey shore, and Europe, with plans to travel both domestically and internationally with more frequency in the years ahead. Both parents have bustling professional and social schedules throughout the year, and thus greatly appreciate reliability and trustworthiness. • Responsibilities will include planning enriching activities and child-related tasks like general tidying, kids’ laundry, packing/unpacking for travel, and children’s (and occasional family) meal prep. The family is looking forward to adding a nanny to their team who is naturally proactive and can identify and execute child-or home-related organizational projects while the kids are at school and can bring an all-hands-on-deck spirit to keeping the household running smoothly on weekends and during travel. Comfort around animals is also key, as the family has four dogs and horses on their property. • The family would like to work with a candidate who possesses a proven track record of providing family assisting support. The family would be excited to meet a candidate who speaks a second language and can bring that to their daily care (French, Italian, Spanish, or other!); though it is not required for an otherwise perfect applicant. Candidates who have a background in early childhood education and a passion for sports, music, or other creative pursuits that they can add to the children’s daily environment would also be wonderful!

Qualifications: 

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Valid driver’s license and passport
• Ability to live-in while on-duty and live-out while off-duty
• Discretion, confidentiality, and respect for the family’s privacy
• Dog and horse friendly!
• Travel nanny experience and availability to travel with the family frequently
• Ability to swim and care for children in and around water
• Willingness to complete a drug screen upon conditional hire, within applicable law
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
