Household Dynamic:

  • This busy, formal Beverly Hills family is seeking a professional, experienced rotational French-speaking nanny to join their team in caring for their infant twins, now 5 months old! The nanny will be responsible for creating a warm, nurturing, and structured environment while fostering their early development and instilling positive values as they grow. The family places great importance on early language development and is seeking a nanny who can provide a nurturing, French language immersion environment for their infants, naturally integrating language exposure throughout the day in all caregiving, interactions, and developmental activities. They also have a dog, so someone who is comfortable working with a big, fluffy dog in the home is important!
  • Both parents lead busy professional lives, and they are regularly in and out of the home. Mom travels every other week between Los Angeles and New York, and often has the rest of the family join her. The family travels for leisure occasionally throughout the year, including trips to St. Barths for Christmas and New Year's and the Hamptons in August. They hope to work with an adaptable nanny who can confidently take charge throughout the day. The family values grace, discipline, and emotional intelligence, and aspires to maintain an organized schedule and etiquette in their daily lives. They would love to partner with a candidate who shares these values and leads with similar principles. This dedicated household team includes a part-time chef, a household manager, two housekeepers, and a rotational newborn care specialist team who will be transitioning out of the role once the nanny team has been hired. A collaborative candidate who can work well with the family and other household staff will fit well in this team-oriented household.

Ideal Candidate:

  • This position is ideal for a warm, confident, and highly professional rotational French-speaking nanny who has a passion for structure, manners, and high standards in their childcare approach! Someone who is genuinely excited to nurture two healthy, growing infants and takes pride in helping raise kind, respectful, well-mannered, and emotionally grounded children will be a wonderful fit! The family will appreciate someone who can apply a structured, formal parenting style approach in their day-to-day interactions. Someone who can integrate etiquette, routine, and well-balanced enrichment activities for their children, while still allowing them time to play and explore, will be a great fit. A nanny who is excited about playing sports with the children, from tennis to swimming, will be great as the children grow older. Confidence and experience in providing exceptional care to multiple children in a role, including infants through toddler-age children, will be key! A calm, proactive, and even-keeled candidate will thrive in this dynamic and collaborative household.
  • This is a child-focused role. Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing children’s areas, and occasional errands.
  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate with twin and fully-staffed home experience, who is a Norland-trained nanny, has a Bachelor’s degree or higher, and/or is comfortable and experienced in a sole-charge role.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for infants through toddlers
  • Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
  • Experience traveling with families and children
  • French fluency
  • Able to provide a French immersive environment (exclusively speaking French to the children)
  • Experience working with multiple children in a role
  • Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid passport
  • Dog-friendly!
  • Comfortable preparing basic meals for the children
