Household dynamic:

  • This goofy, loving family is seeking a nanny/family assistant to care for their children and support an organized home! They have two sweet, adventurous boys, ages 2 and 6 months old. Their oldest son is an active toddler who loves playing soccer, playground adventures, and climbing and building with Magna-Tiles. His younger brother is a happy, curious, smiley little one who enjoys people watching. Currently, their older child attends preschool, and the youngest will begin daycare in September. The family is excited to work with someone who can play an important role in daily engagement and supporting their children’s daily routines, developmental milestones, learning opportunities, and active exploration.
  • The family embraces a warm, playful yet structured home environment. Dad regularly works outside the home, while Mom is typically at home and involved with the children’s day-to-day. They would love a dependable caregiver who can step in as a true partner, providing attentive, consistent childcare and offering household support as needed. The family travels less than two weeks each year during school breaks, including a potential future trip to London, and would appreciate a nanny/family assistant who is open to traveling with them as needed. Additional household staff includes a biweekly housekeeper and a babysitter on most Sundays.

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for a confident, proactive, and highly organized nanny/family assistant who brings a warm, structured approach to childcare. The family is seeking someone who genuinely loves caring for young children and finds joy in nurturing and supporting their growth, interests, and daily routines. Both children are curious and eager to explore, so the ideal candidate will enjoy fostering their development through engaging activities, outdoor adventures, creative play, and age-appropriate enrichment. Whether it's a trip to the park, reading books, singing songs, or creating fun interactive games at home, the perfect candidate will embrace opportunities to foster curiosity, confidence, and joyful learning and experiences. Since the children are in a bubbly and energetic stage, the family would love someone who balances a calm presence with a playful and engaging approach to childcare.
  • The right candidate is someone who can provide a steady, reassuring presence in the home while confidently managing routines and helping create a sense of consistency and structure. They seek someone perceptive to each child’s unique needs and willing to assist with family tasks whenever needed to maintain day-to-day organization. A nanny/family assistant who is nurturing, dependable, and excited to build meaningful relationships with both children and parents will thrive in this position. The family would love to work with someone who takes pride in supporting the household as a true partner while creating a fun, engaging, and loving environment for the children.
  • Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after-school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year if needed. Family assisting duties include running errands, light meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, coordinating vendors, and managing the family calendar.
  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has family assisting and musical experience, and enjoys sharing that passion with young children. Their toddler loves dancing, movement, and singing to the beat of music, and the family would be delighted to find someone who can help foster that enthusiasm through playful, music-filled interactions and activities.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for infants and toddlers
  • Willingness to provide family assisting duties
  • Partners, family members, and/or pets cannot be housed in any temporary or long-term accommodations provided by the family
