This dynamic Hillsborough family seeks a proactive, travel-ready nanny/family assistant to support their energetic boys and collaborate with a warm, Montessori-minded household team.

• Location: Hillsborough, CA
• Ages of children: 3, 6, and 8 years old
• Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 45 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday from 9:00am to 7:00pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:00pm to 7:00pm, and Thursday from 12:00pm to 9:00pm. The family utilizes a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off rotational schedule in the summer.
• Compensation: The family is offering $45-55/hour based on the 45-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $111-135k/year range. The family may be open to a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits, including paid time off, paid holidays, health insurance and/or a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance based on candidate's need and the full benefits package.

• This outdoorsy Bay Area family loves to adventure! Whether they’re at home in California or catching waves in Hawaii, travel is a big part of their lives. At ages 3, 6, and 8, their boys are described as active, bright, and fun-loving. They enjoy legos, soccer, tennis, and playing in the water, so a safety-minded candidate who is eager to keep up with their busy crew will be a great fit! All children attend school full-time in the Bay Area during the week.
• The family travels extensively, most particularly during summer, to charming destinations, and hopes to work with a candidate who can join in their family adventures and provide steady support while traveling. They work with a bustling household team that includes a housekeeper, a family assistant, and a co-nanny. Nannies share hours, and care of the children will be shared amongst nannies and parents! Candidates will not have sole charge of all children. The parents are excited to work collaboratively with their nanny and team and are both in and out of the home during the day. They use a child-led, Montessori approach with their children and look forward to welcoming another nanny who shares this approach.

• This position is ideal for a travel-ready, go-with-the-flow, high-energy nanny/family assistant who loves being outdoors and guiding children through a wide variety of physical activities and sports! The perfect candidate will naturally engage with children in enriching activities, including outdoor play and exploration, reading, and creative learning during home time. Traveling is a regular part of the family’s rhythm, so flexibility is key in this dynamic, travel-filled home. An adaptable team player who is willing to provide occasional coverage, including evenings, weekends, and overnights as needed, will be a wonderful addition. A collaborative candidate who can work effectively alongside the family and other household staff will be essential.  
• The role includes evaluating food supplies, grocery shopping, and organizing the pantry, as well as ensuring that the family’s two vehicles, used for driving children to and from activities, are clean and fueled. Someone who values a clean and organized space, while being a proactive, detail-oriented candidate, will excel in this role. The family will highly appreciate a strong communicator who can easily coordinate and keep everyone informed during check-ins with staff and the family. The family places high priority on privacy and is eager to work with a candidate who demonstrates discretion and professionalism at all times. Mom appreciates open and direct communication, so someone confident, receptive, self-directed, grounded, and even-keeled will best fit for this role. • Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Willingness to do family assisting duties
• Travel nanny experience
• Flexibility to travel and adjust schedule
• Able to swim and care for children in water
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid passport
• Vaccinated against COVID-19
