
This dynamic NYC family is seeking a playful and engaging nanny/family assistant to support two energetic kids and provide hands-on household support at home and abroad.
- Location: New York City, NY
- Ages of children: 3 and 5 years old
- Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
- Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week, with the general schedule falling five days per week, with two consecutive days off. Additional hours to support 30+ overnights per year, travel, and occasional weekends will be asked for in advance and appreciated.
- Compensation: The family is offering $50/hour based on the 40-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $104,000/year range. There will be ample overtime opportunities throughout the year, including regular overnights and travel. The family is also offering an annualized bonus of 10%+.
- Benefits: The family will provide paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, and a vehicle for professional use.
- Live-in/Live-out: Live out while in NYC. The family will provide private accommodations while traveling.

- The family splits their time between their homes in New York City, upstate New York, and Costa Rica. They typically spend weekdays in upstate New York during the summer, return to the city in the fall, and are often based in Costa Rica from January through May or June. Travel is a significant part of the role. In addition to their seasonal stays, the family enjoys taking ski vacations and visiting Mexico. An on-the-go nanny/family assistant who transitions smoothly between homes and locations and brings a consistent, supportive presence for the family will be a perfect fit! The family fosters a supportive and team-oriented spirit at home and considers their nanny a member of their family.

- Responsibilities include childcare tasks and family assisting duties. Childcare responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. Family assisting duties are running errands, light meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, coordinating vendors, and managing the family calendar.
- While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who speaks Spanish.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for toddlers through preschool-age children
- Someone who can provide family assistance/house management support
- Experience traveling with families and children
- Travel ready!
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid passport
