Household dynamic:

  • This upbeat, hands-on PA-based family of six is seeking a professional, organized, and proactive rotational nanny to join their nanny team in caring for their four incredible and inquisitive children! Their oldest, at 10 years old, is kind, smart, and would benefit from extra support with socialization and impulse control. Their two middle children, aged 8 and 7 years old, are self-directed and full of energy. Their youngest, at 5 years old, is an empath and has deep emotional awareness. The kids are incredibly present, love asking questions, and spending time together as a close-knit pack. Three out of four children are neurodivergent, so the family hopes to work with a candidate who is patient and is experienced with neurodivergent care such as high-functioning autism and ADHD. The nanny will provide dedicated care at home, supporting an engaging and developmentally focused environment for the children!
  • Both parents are highly involved, with Mom currently home full-time. The family leads a dynamic lifestyle and splits their time between their multiple residences. They spend summers in the Hamptons, where the children attend day camp, visit Palm Beach during school breaks, enjoy skiing in Aspen for up to two weeks, and take a week-long trip to Europe. An adaptable, on-the-go rotational nanny who is excited to join the family adventures and is comfortable transitioning between homes will be a great fit! The household is fully staffed and well-organized, which includes two rotational nannies, a house manager, a chef, a head housekeeper, and two housekeepers. This is a true all-hands-on-deck home with two nannies on at all times. The family will value someone detail-oriented, reliable, and adept at working collaboratively in a rotational team environment.

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for an intuitive, proactive, and highly organized rotational nanny who takes genuine joy in nurturing the growth and development of four bright, growing children! Candidates must have prior experience as a rotational nanny or live-in nanny to be considered. A passion for supporting children with special needs, along with firm yet gentle boundaries and a deep respect for the unique needs of neurodivergent children, is essential. A calm, structured presence will be highly appreciated. Collaborative and clear communication is key for this role! The ideal candidate will be open to feedback, comfortable with direct communication, confident in reading the room and anticipating needs, and skilled at staying one step ahead in a dynamic, fast-paced household environment.
  • Responsibilities include creating an environment that fosters the children's growth and development, as well as child-related household tasks, including meal preparation, tidying, organizing children’s areas, occasional errands, coordinating before- and after-school routines, and assisting with family travel throughout the year.
  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with someone who has a degree.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Knowledge and experience with early elementary through elementary-age children
  • Experience working with neurodivergent children
  • No long-term recent gaps in resume
  • Rotational experience OR live-in experience
  • Experience working with 3+ children
  • Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
  • Valid passport
  • Valid driver’s license
