A calm and organized Bay Area family is seeking a dedicated, developmentally-minded nanny to join their household team!
- Location: Menlo Park, CA
- Ages of children: 8.5, 6.5, 4.5, 2.5 years old. The family has additional nannies, and candidates will not have sole charge of all children.
- Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit
- Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 45+ hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 10am to 7pm or similar. Flexibility to support travel will be asked in advance and appreciated!
- Compensation: The family is offering $40-45/hour based on the 45-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $99-111k/year dependent on experience and the agreed-upon schedule. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
- Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, and relocation assistance based on candidate need and the full benefits package. A vehicle will be provided for professional use.
- Live-in/Live-out: Live-out. A housing stipend may be provided for the right candidate!
Household dynamic:
- This nurturing, tight-knit return Adventure Nannies family, along with their four children and sweet hypoallergenic dog are excited to find another nanny to join their team! Their children absolutely love hands-on learning and play and enjoy STEM-related activities, nature, and painting and art projects. The eldest two children attend school full-time during the week, while the two youngest children have more part-time school schedules. One of their children works with an OT and PT to support their motor skill development.
- Both parents are in and out of the home regularly and have enjoyed working and learning alongside their nanny team and developing a nurturing environment in their home. They travel around traditional school breaks, and will appreciate having this candidate join them! They enjoy spending time visiting their second homes in Big Sur and San Francisco, and they love to play and eat! Candidates with a proactive and collaborative spirit will fit right in with this warm family team. They deeply value positive, conscious discipline and fostering their children's interests. The family has had wonderful longevity with past nannies and looking forward to finding another candidate who can join them for years to come.
Ideal candidate:
- This position is ideal for someone who brings adaptable, curious energy to their role and thrives in a team-oriented environment, as this role will work hand-in-hand with both parents and other staff, including co-nannies, a chef, a housekeeper, and a family assistant. The heart of this role will consist of cultivating a warm and encouraging environment for the children, including planning enriching and fun activities that pique their interests and inspire a sense of inquiry.
- Responsibilities include taking the lead on planning and engaging in activities, and a willingness to get a little messy or muddy from time to time! A pitch-in attitude will be appreciated when it comes to tidying up after the children, light meal prep, and setting out food for their sweet Labradoodle. Encouraging the children to participate and help with these daily routines when appropriate is always encouraged.
- While not a requirement for the role, candidates who are local to the Bay Area or have a background or knowledge in early childhood education/childhood development will be highly preferred!
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Valid passport or willingness to obtain one upon hire
- Knowledge and experience with the toddler through elementary years
- Dog friendly! Willing to support light pet care.
- Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to the start date in accordance with applicable laws
