Private Educator

To be considered for a private educator position through Adventure Nannies, all candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Ability to work legally within the United States

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Possess relevant professional teaching experience in a classroom, homeschooling, or tutoring environment

  • Have glowing references from past positions

  • Willingness and commitment to be paid legally, or ‘on the books’, as a W-2 employee

  • Ability to pass a background check once an offer of employment has been made

  • Professional and positive communication in all agency interactions

  • Possess a minimum of an Associate’s degree in teaching or a relevant degree (note: Bachelor’s degrees and further education are strongly preferred by many families)

In addition to these minimum requirements, many positions require additional degrees, knowledge and/or education surrounding progressive philosophies such as the Montessori method, or experience with children of specific ages and grade levels. (Please note that the majority of our private educator positions are seeking teachers with pre-K through elementary school-aged children.)
